Arsenal(FA Cup Semi Final) Post Match Thread

Arsenal wi have been in 3 of the 4 FA Cup finals sponsored by heir shirt and stadium sponsor. Might be coincidental but it looks odd.

Are you really suggesting that there is some sort of establishment conspiracy against you?

Really?

Is that not just some sort of comfort blanket to protect you from the real reason you lost?

Basically, a mix of bad luck and they wanted it more?

Worrying that a team as mentally fragile as Arsenal can come from behind and beat us , sadly says a lot about the strength of our present squad
Mentally fragile or just in general disarray; we've failed to beat them twice in three weeks whichever term you use to describe their current malaise.

Really fed up with hearing people whinge about Pep not doing the obvious thing and bringing on Nacho for Aguero.

Nacho has not performed well for ages and does not retain possession well. Perhaps Pep thought getting hold of the ball was what was needed at that point to allow us to create something. It's hardly as if Yaya, Sane, Sterling and KDB are incapable of putting the ball in the net.

Pep is not employed to just see things like the average fan or pundit.

That will be the Nacho who came on and barely touched the ball.

Its folk clutching at straws and desperate to lay blame at Peps door and it happens every time we lose.

Incidentally, pushing KdB up front led to the one huge chance we did create but unfortunately for us and Pep, both Kev and Delph managed to not score from it yet again.

Poor tactics or poor finishing?

The latter again.

How the f*** can you say Aguero isn't lethal after that sublime finish? Do you realise how hard it is to score each and every game in the prem? Your starting to believe the crap that pep the "genius " is spouting...

"Pep the genius" suggests your far too busy repeating cheap soundbites off here.

Oh well.....

You are most likely correct but our frustration at how most of the things that can go against us did on that day have perhaps exaggerated some opinions.

However your conclusion that Arsenal ´´wanted it more´´ perhaps reflects their ability to get away with more marginal tackles than City. Very un Arsenal like but effective on the day in eliminating our best players.

We have an alarming lack of leaders on the pitch. We bossed Arsenal while Silva was on the pitch. Absolutely bossed them. They had enough and started getting physical, which is fine, it's a physical sport. I'm sick of seeing our players wilt and whinge to the officials after getting kicked. We need physicality throughout our team. Not stupid Otamendi rash fouls or snide Fernandinho kick outs giving away silly frees in terrible positions.

We need to become dirty, systematically foul. Systematically surround the ref, wind games down. Become horrible, aggressive mean bastards. We are way too soft and nice. A pleasure to play against I'm sure.

All the best teams in history have this trait. Leeds in the 70's. Liverpool in the 80's and Utd in the 90's. Aggressive, horrible bastards who'd kill you for the ball. We don't have a single player like that.

I already said the officials had a shit 45 minutes but from being 1 nil up we blew the lead against a poor Arsenal side. Need to sort our own house out as well as blaming others.

Of course we do.

But all of the 'others' have had days where everything was going tits up, including Arsenal on Sunday when their plan was being taken apart. If the ref does his job, they lose. Instead he handicaps us, & Arsenal get praised for getting it right, whilst we have to look at our 'faults'.

Same with Chelsea at our place. Season changing game.

We are not allowed to.

I said that in the PFA player of the year thread. Kante in several big games this season has racked up half a dozen fouls that may have been yellows. Finally gets booked with 5-10 mins to go (no doubt if he did 2 more it would be his final warning and then his final final warning).

Imagine Dinho for us or Gazbaz for Everton doing a foul avery 12-15 mins they would probably be booked after 20-25 and be in the bath at half time.

We have the ball all the time, getting kicked over & over, the refs just get used to seeing it & let it run. We lose the ball, trip someone & it stands out, so the thick fucks book our player straight away.
