Arsenal were so disciplined and defended in numbers and resilience. This is how we are often beaten when it happens.

Its time like this that you need an Aguero to pull something out of nowhere and other than him and KDB we dont have that player for the very big games.

Mendy - liability too often. Stood 3 yds off his marker for the cross for the first goal and then culpable by playing Aubamayang onside for the second and sitting too deep - awful crossing 99% of the time.We need better

Walker- we've seen him do that before (fall asleep at the back post) - he has had a good season but he has those moments in him.

Gundo - slows us down - offers neither defensive solidity or attacking verve and makes us look a lesser team against the better teams

Mahrez - annonymous until his one shot - again

Jesus - Hard game but its these games where we need him to pull something out of the bag - He looks to pass too often....that pass back he got in the frst half - why didnt he turn towards goal instead looking to layit off - he just doesnt have that killer approach and that makes a big difference at times.

Others were equally bad today but some of those above are the crux of the issue every time our performances dip.

Tactically brilliant by Arteta. High press rattled us first half and no energy in midfield. Second half they defended the box let us have it wide, killed the space for David and KDB resulting in endless pointless chipped in balls.

Whenever Gundogan plays without Fernandinho there is rarely any energy from midfield.

Also need a new CM as Rodri is too inexperienced and Fernandinho is 35.

Hell of a rebuilding job for this team.

It’s happened about 10 times this season so no coincidence. It’s the worst way to lose!! If a team batters you and deserves it you can hold your hand up and take it.. but that Groundhog Day is so frustrating

We need to break the bank for a partner for Laporte and a left back. Final straw with mendy.. he’s been a disaster

Thought Garcia played well tonight to be fair but we do lack a leader at the back.
We really need to buy a winger that can actually beat a man and drive forward - how many times does Mahrez cut inside? It drives me mad and he's not effecting big games at all. And, how many crosses from Mendy go to no one?

Jesus is a non entity in a lot of big games.

We can't afford to have a defender like Walker who switches off at crucial moments. Add to that our movement of the ball going forward was far too laboured - Gundogan is a major culprit in that for me, he slows everything down.

We're in transition and it's not easy to rebuild half the team while still winning trophies so I wouldn't expect too much from the next couple of seasons.

I think Aguero would have been a non-entity in that game too. It was easy for Arsenal just to pack the area and defend every ball that came in.
