Wankers as they were, to be fair to them at least they sold out their allocation and sang all game.

It's about time there was a full away end as it rarely happens these days.

They can sing what they want, doesn't bother me. We should be loud enough to drown them out and we fucking weren't.
True statement, I thought they were good today and give their team great backing, we on the other hand were shite to say we were at home.
Only Everton and Spurs brought over 2800 last season (apart from United and Liverpool in the cups). I'm much happier when there's a full away end and they're singing all game. It adds to the occasion. It's just a pity we don't add to the occasion in 90% of our home games. The South Stand were outdone by the North Stand today.

err ? you cant be serious ????????????????

im in 234 ,moved from 218 south stand cos i had to go there cos me lad reached 5 in august the start of this season, cant believe how fucking bad it is in there (234),thought 218 was crap but the north stand ?????????

same again today, kids playing their poxy wii's , ds's etc i fucking despair

The reason our fans were shit today. Like 50% of games previous is that the way the team start most games and the snail like tempo we Play at not to mention the boring negative balls. Back to the keeper from opposition box Puts the most enthusiastic of supporter slumped in their seat after 10 mins after watching of that drizzle. Sorry but it's true. The games last year that we did start with a good tempo and work ethic. The atmosphere was totally different. Manchini has messed about with a championship winning team to much to quickly

Never said you were an Arsenal fan. Read my post again, ''buddy''.
Sorry, misread it, i'm a BWFC fan not a rag. Didn't think it'd be this hostile on here.
If, repeat IF, you are a Bolton fan, my apologies. However, with a username like that, I remain dubious.
No problem, there's old family ties to Newton Heath and i tbh i completely forgot about the United links so the hostility doesn't surprise me now. It's easy to forget United were part of Manchester and not Trafford once upon a time.

We went round the lower divisions singing 'you're only here coz its city', 'small town in blackburn', ' shit ground no fans' . 'who the fucking hell are you' and all that to all and sundry. Yet you're all getting uppity because some fans had the cheek to sing songs about us?

Get some perspective. That's what football fans do, take the piss. We've been doing it for years.

Take it as a compliment and get used to it because it means we've arrived. And to classify an entire fan base based on a few songs is idiotic. Arsenals away support probably isn't dissimilar to ours in its makeup: a bunch of pissed up blokes having a laugh.

Personally, it's less about that and more about the fact that I don't know a single Arsenal fan who isn't a completely self-righteous ****.

They believe that they are "better" than us, not on the pitch, but as a club because Wenger has unsuccessfully brought through youth, and they blame us for "ruining the game" in the most hypocritical way possible.

Say what you want about City fans, but in my experience at least, we do not feel that we are "above" other clubs.

Sadly i can't help but feel they've got a right to be a bit self-righteous. They are one of few clubs who are run as it used to be, where success was dependent not on who had the richest owner but on the people running the club day in day out. Objectively that's a far more moral way for a sport to run.

I'm not sure if you're reference to Arsenal fans being hypocritical is about their chairman's investment those years ago but i've seen it on here so i'll talk about it anyway. In their defense the Fiszman £50m is hardly similar to the situation these days and really isn't being hypocritical.

The Arsenal fans stick by the club being run as a business and what Fiszman did was in keeping with that. There were still intentions to make profits, not posting continual losses like with the modern sugar daddies, the spending was not continual but an injection to hold club assets and to improve revenue through competition. Companies in every industry do, have done and will continue to do what Arsenal did with Fiszman however i can't think of an instance in which a business is run similar to you or Chelsea. So tbh it isn't being hypocritical at all.

we did when we were in the lower divisions . All the songs I've listed above, which were sung every week, are testimony to that.

We were proud of our support like arsenal are proud of their history. As a football fan you cling to whatever you can. It's no big deal.

What the FUCK does it matter whether your given money or not. Simple question with a simple answer - it doesnt.

Doing it the right way would have meant Blackburn (1) wouldn't have won it, Chelsea (3) wouldn't have won it, Manchester City (1) wouldn't have won it and only Arsenal (3) would have won it. So step forward Manchester United (12) the only winner of the Premiership since it's conception 20 years ago and in all probability would have won it 17 times if it wasn't for the investment of City, Chelsea and Blackburn. Is this a Premiership which everyone wants to watch every year?

you sure about that? I'd be amazed if we didn't dell out our allocation last year. Same for the Geordies.

What you say about noisy away fans contributing to the atmosphere is spot on though. People who can't take a bit of stick at football shouldn't bother.

Your home support isn't that bad. Better than ours or United. Much as it pains me Spurs have the best home support of the top sides, although that might just be because its Arsenal whenever I've been there.

You might find in 5 years time when you have more foreigners, tourists and bandwagon jumpers at home matches that you'll be looking back fondly at your current ''shit'' fans.

How can you get pissed on latte and frappuccino?

Come on Dave your havin a larf mate!

Arsenal's away support in nothing like ours. I wouldn't be surprised if a large precentage of them worked for the BBC at Mediacity(moved up from London) and lived in Didsbury. ;-)
