Arsenal (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Got the job done! Cagey performance from both and I expect the next two games against them to be the same.

That first half was utter dross,it had no urgency, cohesion or spark. The line up and shape was all wrong,as i predicted pre match.

Second half better but our desire to find a backwards or sideways pass is killing the game we have witnessed, enjoyed, and even reinvented, over the past few years.

The squad needs new players, and new go
I thought it was a fairly easy win. It wasn't like playing Liverpool in recent years in my opinion.
Tend to agree , we are nowhere near our most fluid best yet beat the media darling “underdogs”.
Go fuck yourself Arsenal- you’re nothing compared to our Liverpool title battles of years gone by.

I was listening to the City App as we were driving to our son's place - did Holding set out to nobble Erling and of course the ref bottled it?

Found this on the Burnley fans forum live commentary on the match, quite observant on Arteta's shithousery:
"Arteta: whoever's throw-in it is he throws the ball to a gooner. When they throw it back he side-steps it. When it's a City throw he crowds them. He needs putting in the stands."

Just watching the match which I recorded yesterday… I know strange sleeping patterns mean you get up at 3.30 am to watch your team… why did it take Laporte soooo long to get ready to come on when John Boy went down? Surely when he saw JB on the ground for that length of time he should have started to gear up? Even if he thought Dias or someone might be the sub he should have been observant and ready?

I like watching the game when the angst is not there and I know the result. You see things you don’t notice in ‘real’ time. Things like Arteta’s expressions where his eyes go very weird looking. :-)
