Surely this looming international break has to be cancelled, so why not plough through the domestic season then?

The other thing odd is, quotes so, "some Arsenal players came into contact and were therefore unavailable for the match tonight" - don't we need more than that? I mean if its say two players, then why should the match be cancelled? If they hadn't affected the others then its pretty similar to having a couple of injuries or suspensions.

I dont think just ending the season and giving the title to Liverpool will be popular with the teams still in with a chance of top 4 and the teams in the bottom 3 trying to prevent relegation there is to much money at stake. Would the best bet be to just cancel this season and start fresh in the summer?

Independent medical advice is what I’m hearing. No-one on here (unless there’s a Doctor on BM) knows what they’re talking about with Coronavirus. It’s a good game to have postponed. Gives us the rest.

They're OK to play tomorrow FFS.

The game against Olympiakos was 2 weeks ago today so the period isolating is effective for ends today.

They haven't been self isolating for two weeks. Players and staff involved at the olympiacos game were involved in their games against Pompey and West Ham

Liverpool are so clearly winning the league I don't think anyone will really contest it, but winning it on paper with no public celebration, no magic moment, and with everyone remembering the season for coronavirus is going to be so shit for them.

I would be very surprised if there isn’t a public celebration. Not organised by the club or even involving the club and probably not attended by 750,000+ people, but still quite large.

There are a couple of big meetings today and Friday.

I'm pretty sure the calendar won't be fulfilled and this Arsenal game postponement will ensure it.

One thing banning spectators, another when the likelihood is players are already infected.

Expensive players at that.

I was chatting to someone yesterday and they felt Burnley this weekend would have been the last attended game for City, regardless.

All players have grandparents and children to consider and that’s why the league needs to be postponed.

You've misunderstood. You don't self-isolate for 2 weeks when you find out you were exposed, you self isolate for 2 weeks from exposure.

So the Arsenal players are isolating for 1 day.

As for Pompey and West Ham it doesn't matter as it's too far down the chain. The Arsenal players were in contact with the Olympiakos players (who have all tested negative) who were in contact with their owner. You don't need to go further down the chain and worry about West Ham players.

How can they self isolate when its only been announced Monday about the Olympicaos chairman having it??

IF they were made aware of this and were advised to self isolate, why have they been in training? and why were they involved in games since?
