Arsenal (H) | PL | Post-match Thread

I was wondering how the lads would get themselves motivated for a fifth title after last season but the inspiration has been handed to us on a plate today. *That* fucking Arsenal team cannot be allowed to win the league. I was defending them yesterday because I thought they'd come and try and meet us on our terms today after two big learning curves in recent years. Nope, cheat, dive, waste time, fake injuries - to the point where even Michael Oliver wasn't even letting the physios come on at the end. That'll feel like a win after the way the game went. Well done to the lads for not giving up.

Now we sit and wait to see how Rodri is.
This

I saw the tweet from Sam Lee that Rodri went to Arsenal bench for a fight, but i can’t find it

Praying for Rodri

Jonny stones!!!

Very satisfying win, totally demoralising to arsenal. The amount of players with cramp must have been some kind of world record it must have been 15 minutes wasted second half. The league needs to look into this cos eventually we just tried to play on but you can’t when their physio runs on the pitch
Ermm..

Phew...... fucking hell! That feels like a victory. Trust me given they went a goal down, then a player down, that would have been a seismic victory for them. The lift it would have given them and how gutting it would have been for us can't be underestimated.

Like everyone else I wondered why he was fetching Johnny Stones on, now he's a genius and @Eccles Blue is ecstatic so all is good.

Disappointed now not to have won it after going a goal ahead and them then going down to ten men. I know it's bloody hard trying to break through a massed defence but we have to do work on it and do better.

The real turning point in the game was the Rodri injury. We were winning and they were rocking. I could see a 3 -1 or more. Rodri going off disrupted us and they capitalised.

Anyway we're still top and they are now fourth lol!!!

One point won that. Massively unlucky first half, no one to blame outside maybe Walker.

Arsenal plays like shithouses, but I think anyone including Pep and the players expected us to do more in the 2nd half.

We are a better team than Arsenal and that will sneak into their heads after this. Even more so now when they got maximum disapointment. If we equalized after 60 minutes and the Rich Brentford held on they would have had the champagne out afterwards. This will be hard to swallow for them, and we know that this is only just another early title defence for us before we get up to gear

Their disgraceful first goal fucked us up and then Rodri getting injured but we showed resilience and got something from the game no thanks to Oliver letting them fake injuries and just doing anything to waste time with no comeback..

I have never seen this in my life, that your biggest damn competitor hurts your best player in one game, consciously targets him from the first minute... and after 25 pure dominance, your whole world turns in a second. You probably lose your best player until April, you lose the momentum you had, and on top of all that, you don't have KDB, who is also vital. Unbelievable, unprecedented, I think the season is lost with this today.

This is also mostly the fault of the management, which did not provide worthy replacements for the main levers of this team.
Damned if I can work out if you're talking about City or Arsenal there?

Dias, Akanji, Walker having so much of the ball on the right side was shambolic. We should have had Haaland dropping in and taking long range shots.
