Arsenal (H) | PL | Post-match Thread

We need to practice breaking teams down, everyone parks the bus against us.
Whatever happened to playing 1-2's into the box ffs?

Arsenal were lucky in the first half and lucky we were shit in the second.

Two points dropped.

We fucked that up mainly on our own with a little help from the ref. Main culprits- Walker for being asleep, twice, leading to both goals. Ederson who needs to grow a pair and boss his area and not sit on his arse looking for fouls. Finally, Pep who allowed 45 minutes of passing sideways by defenders, wingers coming inside and not getting behind defenders and imobile attackers not showing for passes.

I hope after today people on here get a huge wake up call when it comes to these cunts, As much as I hate the dippers under Klopp I respected them for the way they play football and go toe to toe with teams especially us!

Arsenal are fucking shithouses! No intention of playing football and going hell for leather at each other, They are fucking shithouses.

Shithouses that will win NOTHING. Again.

Ending the game early with all that timewasting is disgraceful
I think it’s a reflection of their victim mentality.
They scrabble around for every cheap trick to try and claw their way to victory. Sending a clear message of: we don’t actually believe we’re good enough yet.

They’d never express it of course, and would claim that it simply isn’t the case.
But these deep-rooted beliefs come out in tue consistent actions and culture that can be observed.

That kind of desperation catches up with you over the course of a whole season, as we’ve seen…

We had no problem breaking most teams in our treble season when we had big men in the middle and Grealish and Silva on the wing.

Switching to two more traditional wingers and smaller build midfielder then when the opposite reduced the space behind we suck.

One of the most frustrating matches I have witnessed, both for the tactics employed by Arsenal, our ineptitude in breaking down their stubborn defence, and in the refereeing which featured a multitude of questionable decisions.

From our perspective, it is a point gained despite the influence of the referee and a Machiavellian performance from a key rival. Trying the same tactic for 45 minutes straight is the strangest of behaviour. For me, Lewis should have started for Walker, but I would also have brought on another midfielder for one of the central defenders when Arsenal surrendered all ambition. By all means, bring on Jack, but don't take off Jeremy, bring him on for a defender! Bernardo, great player though he is, is not a winger.

From a result perspective, Arsenal did what they feel they had to do. From anyone with a love of the beautiful game, they were appalling, but they were allowed to be by a referee who lost control from minute one; let's hope Rodri is okay.

Absolutely no difference makers in front apart from Haaland. Foden is far from his best. This game could have been won if we could attack faster and with bigger intensity not just safe passing all the time.

What was the point of leaving all 3 of Dias, Akanji and Walker as the back line in the final 15 minutes?
Stick Dias and Akanji in the 6 yard box, bring Foden and Gundo back with walker and have them chip the ball in to the 3 target men, or strike the ball from outside the box.
How have Akanji and Dias had 10 shots between them?

Apart from that grumble I thought we got a draw that we deserved.

And Arsenal need a warning letter sent to them by the premier league about their time-wasting. Absolutely shocking. 7 minutes added? Should have been 12!!
