Arsenal (H) Post Match Thread

After playing Napoli, away, vs one of the top six teams from today who fielded 11 players who we able to prepare for this game, I think it was a great result. And fully deserved. Should've been out of sight at half time only to give Arsenal a bit of hope for letting them stay in the game.

Of course it wasn't easy. Nor was Chelsea away or Napoli home and away. Top games hardly are easy.

Defending wise Arsenal did ok. Their defence read the through passes well. Credit to them. Yet they showed not enough eagerness or courage to try and win this game. While 9 points adrift. And 12 by now. It was up to them and they left it to us.

We are simply brilliant and deserve every bit of this win. Long may it continue!!

Brilliant performance today after a really difficult mid week match.
 
Great win today we missed so many chances but the main thing was we got the 3 points and now we have time to rest the squad as we sit top of the league. Pep out..

Raheem needs to be coached and encouraged to shoot.
Sane needs to take defensive duties more seriously.

Playing out from the back didn't work out today , Arsenal pressed us and we kept giving it away.
Having said that , given we'd had a difficult away game at Napoli midweek that was an exceptional performance.

Playing from the back did work today.

The way you know if it worked or not is if we won. Seeing as playing out from the back is the defining principle of our play and always will be under Pep, the only time it doesn't work is if we lose.

That aside it worked very well today.
 
The crazy thing today was that I didn't think we played that well compared to other games, the whole team understandably looked a bit tired.

Even so, we could and should have scored a couple more and put three past an Arsenal team that rested its first XI in the Europa.

That's a scary thought for everyone else, when a tired version of us can still comfortably beat Arsenal. The movement was again incredible. We really are watching a genius at work.

Nobody was questioning your allegiance, what I was referring to was Silva's leg was offside in the picture like they always say when it's against us the benefit should always go with the attacker so with that in mind and looking at the evidence I posted if it were the other way around I wouldn't be fuming...

You know what, I really didn’t fancy today, just had a feeling we’d struggle and we did. Yet, even though we weren’t our best we were light years ahead of them. Days like today just show why we need to all forget the whole ‘typical city’ shit and embrace the fact that we really are the dogs bollocks. No more sheepish reactions to are we the best, damn fucking right we are, no team in the world comes close to us right now.

Correct it was very tight,only on this occasion the linesman deemed it onside,how many have went against us and I’m not talking marginal or tight but blatantly well offside..
 
I had a nasty feeling about this game today and 10 minutes in I was thinking it could be one of them days. Arsenal turned up against us like they always do and kept it tight and pressed us like fuck. But credit to us today, whilst not being at our best, we kept pushing forward and creating chances. After Napoli midweek and giving our all in that, I'm very satisfied with this result. And them fuckers lost !! Happy Stretch :-) CTWD
 
We were the better team and should of scored a few goals. Bitter Wenger can complain all he wants about the referee.

What a day today!!! 8 points clear.

Amazing performance considering we had a tough game against Napoli and Arsenal played the reserves in the Europa League.

This is what champions are made of.

Can't agree , our quick breaks out of defence won the game, but playing it out slowly as we did today, no way. Got us into trouble many times particularly in the first half.
