3 points was all that mattered and all that matters in all the league games now so job done. Didn't think it was a great performance as some seem to be suggesting though, just professional. Were still slowing play down way too much and there's a lack of directness from our wide players which is leading to a lack of clear chances being created but when you've got the leagues best striker in your team you don't need an abundance of chances.
Not convinced the pep experiment was responsible for the win today, think were just better than them man for man and enough of them put in a decent performance for it to show and had Sergio puttimg in a phenomenal performance. fernandinho put in a fantastic display but he's not a better centre back than John Stones, nor is Gundogan who was decent today too a better defensive midfielder than fernandinho, so seems bizaree to me to be playing players out of position unless injuries force it. Bernardo was excellent again, he really has to be first choice in midfield right now. Kdb seemed to be in some pain before being subbed, let's hope that's nothing, last thing we or he needs is another lay off.
