Arsenal (h) Post Match Thread

Brilliant response after Newcastle.

I thought we got even better in the second half, our play deserved a couple of more goals easy.

Well worth the 570 mile round trip!

Roll on Wednesday now.

I've yet to see any proof of handball. They replayed it 3 or 4 times on Sky and with Souness saying it was handball,
no angle actually shows a definite touch on any part of his arm. It hits his hip and looks to go between him and his arm.
Think we need Cricket's snickometer on it.
I'd actually love that kind of tech in football. Hot spot too.

Forgot to say in my earlier comment, what exactly is the problem with English referees. I can’t remember a season with so many blatantly poor decisions by match officials. Atkinson is supposed to be one of the best refs in the world. How can he have got so many decisions wrong today ? It is truly pitiful. Does the club submit a report to the league after a game ? If so, we need to send a video of today’s game with the comment “no further comment required”. I don’t believe it’s an agenda - it’s simply incompetence. You would think PGMOL would have been so embarrassed about having no English officials at the World Cup they would get their act together but if possible they have actually got worse.

They have to keep the controversy going, for the soap opera that Sky want.

That was the first time we've conceded in the opening 15 minutes in the league since Oxlade-Chamberlain scored after nine minutes in Jan 2018, 385 days ago.
