Arsenal (H) Post match thread

Can anyone point to a rule that says you're not allowed to touch a referee? There are rules about disrespecting a referee, but I'm not aware of any that specifically mention that you can't touch a referee.

If you watch game an Arsenal player touches Oliver just after he booked Ake nothing said.

That "scrappy win" you mention.

I fucking love them and we need to to add them to our armoury if we want this league.
Agreed. Pep’s first title here had some scrappy wins and dramatic late wins, early doors, they’re always needed in a big season, this could be looked back on as crucial in 8 months time but only if we drastically improve from here on and this isn’t the norm which it kinda has been so far

We got 1-0 up against a good team and then controlled the game and defended well. That's what everyone's been asking Pep to do against the better opponents for ages. In other seasons, we might have pushed harder for a second and conceded one. It looks like we're now in a situation where we can have one of Dias or Laporte out and still look solid at the back, which is great.
Good shout, exactly what we didn't do dropping points to Leeds and the foxes when we dominated both those games early.

Seriously ? If it was a Male assistant referee it wouldn't be even discussed here or wherever, double standards and all that, have you ever played the game ?
Would he have done it to a male ref?
There was nothing in it, but silly to do, knowing the optics of it and what they’d all love to make of it.

They should be sensible however. I don’t see anything in it.

Take that (Arteta) & Partey

He’s probably still talking about the game they won before the international break ..
If it was its “dangerous play” not like he was taken out. Hardly a major injustice if you think it was a pen. It wasnt

Mancini and klopp done more than Pep he said.
Heard one Muppet say Klopp was the better because great managers win the CL. It's pointless even trying to correct someone that moronic. On the subject of morons, has Griselda Rudd come out of hiding yet?

Very good to get those three points against a very good side. A loss would have made it difficult to catch up the top two, but after today's results, providing we win our game at hand, we would actually be placed above Liverpool. An exciting season is expected, for sure.

Bernie seems to be back in great shape, Ruben looks so solid, Ake very composed and reads the game well, and now we have the greatest striker EVER to grace the PL back in the squad. I'd say the future is looking bright.
