Arsenal (H) | Post Match Thread

Partey is nowhere near the ball. Anywhere else on the pitch, free kick to us.
It's fuckin stonewall pen, I don't understand some here saying he legitimately 'guarded' the ball, ie got between kdb and the ball - he didn't, he went clean through onto kev's standing foot and directly fouled him, don't see how on earth var don't give that. And of course motd didn't even debate it in summary.

Refs are not biased. If you take a step back and assess that every single team thinks refs give them nothing then maybe you have to conclude that mistakes are made, but they are not intentional there’s certainly no conspiracy.
There's no conspiracy, but there is a fear of bucking the narrative at times which leads to decisions that range from questionable to unexplicable. So much so that even obvious evidence on replay is ignored.

The other option was to play on with Haaland then smashing it into the net. That's what I mean by narrative. Oliver didn't want to see Arsenal down a goal within 2 minutes, simple as...that same thing happens 20 minutes in its called a pen. It's amazing how one can predict the vast majority of close calls simply by understanding the score, time of the game, location, impact on either side, etc. It should never be about that, but nobody is going to convince me that match officials don't allow peripheral factors to influence their decisions, sometimes to unbelievable levels of incompetancy,

I suppose when we have just won 4-1 with a sublime performance, it just wasn’t top of their must discuss list.
