Arsenal (H) | Post Match Thread

Took my 10 year old daughter last night. Its about her 10th game. Shes a shy little thing and even v liverpool she sat rooted to her seat when we scored.
Not last night!! When KDB bagged that first she was out of her seat jumping up n down hugging me. Coulda cried. It was the night she ‘got it’.

Fuckin love City me

As I was walking down the steps after the final whistle, up in SSL3 and a block away from the Arsenal fans. I spotted one of them just stood facing us, he wasn't giving it out, screaming or shouting or acting angry. He just stood, faced us and was applauding us. I thought fair play, caught his attention through the crowd and gave him a thumbs up.

That moment summed last night up for me. They've done very very well this season Arsenal and that young team have played some great football. However this City we are witnessing at the moment is something special. On a whole never level to anything we've seen before. Made me think back to seeing Thierry Henry and Co absolutely destroy us at Maine Road and we just had to doff our caps to them.

Only difference here being we were shit back then, last night we crushed our rivals for the title and the team at the top of the league. Frightening stuff... can we start dreaming yet?

Too soon.

I didn’t know where to post this but as I thought about what the difference was between both teams was having big balls. Already there are a a narrative that we went long to Haaland but we didn’t, we play incredible risky passes to beat to the press & Arsenal didn’t. They went long because they didn’t beat the press.

Going back to 2016 all the so called experts were critical of Stones & look at what he’s become. He could have been ruined under another Manager.

I would recognize that ****'s voice in total darkness before chinning him.

Looking back, bizarrely, this was one of the easiest, most one-sided games I've seen at the Etihad all season. Most of the bottom half clubs gave us more of a workout I think. We absolutely controlled the game from start to finish and had Haaland not missed chances he'd normally bury, we'd have score 6 or 7.
We had massive spaces to exploit, I was shocked at how they let us run the show. As much as we played well, exceptional even, Arsenal capitulated.

I dont know if they will tonk their next opponents or just give up on the rest of the season.
