Best team, use all the subs, against Arsenal. Play the second team, use all the subs, against Burnley on Monday night. Then, back to best team (with about a week off) for the Chelsea game.

From there, play best team against Newcastle and Liverpool, as they should all be match fit and ready.

The good thing is that “who is in the best team?” isn’t an easy answer at City, so that helps with team changes.

Unlike some, I will be very interested to see the games, but like many, my primary focus is the two Cups. We aren’t going to win the League, but it would take a complete collapse to not qualify for CL, so secure that with a few wins, beat Newcastle, and we start to shape up for the sharp end.

as long as its not turned into a clap for carers, take the knee bollocks, i just want a couple of hours away from all the shit thats going on and watch a game of footy and if anyone lifts their shirt to reveal some effing slogan have a sniper on standby!
3-0 City

Of course I'm interested as it's city and will watch, though the desperation to restart the season no matter what has left a very sour taste.

As others have said I shall give this a similar level of being arsed as I would a preseason friendly. Having said that, if the scousers lose the first five of their games back...

Foden is surely the first name on the team sheet ?
Is he in goal?:) Wasn't bothered but looking forward to watching a bit of football now. Many say they aren't bothered bet the match thread is still a mess though.
We were dropping off shopping for an old man still isolating the other day and he was asking when it started and is looking forward to watching some football, so I get the criticism but lets not forget those still stuck indoors that might get some relief from it.

No point in discussing this. We're going to lose... it's been pre-ordained. That's the only reason for the plethora of media articles circulating about varpool winning the league at the home of the real Liverpudlian club.

I wonder how many of the people who voted don't care will actually end up watching the match

Yep.
Deep in lockdown I thought I should drastically reduce watching other people playing football and find more important things to use or waste lifetime.

When you have the carrot right in front of your nose you just bite. I did.

I have already seen really good 2nd league Bundesliga matches, lots of goals.
Actually you get used to it and it's still about win or lose.

I even prefer empty ground atmosphere to fake fan sounds like Fox do, avoiding any view of empty terraces and pretending normal settings.

I don't have any easy way of watching it even if I wanted to which I don't. Lacks even the limited excitment of a pre season friendly with a few new signings.

I might be able to gather motivation for a new season but this I'm afraid not. Hope we secure a place in Europe (fingers crossed for appeal) but not assed about much else.

No problem with folk who get a fix out of this but for me it is as exciting as the remains of the turkey a couple of days after Christmas.
