Be nice to give them a pasting after that travesty of a semi final last season. Decent ref I hope...

This. It's a home game and it's important to win them for our Title chances. Since we beat Liverpool and Chelsea, both these teams seems to have been out of contention in the race. We can forget about Arsenal if we win.

The arrogance from our fans has inched up a bit since last week. It has since passed the point where a raw or narrow win will seem satisfactory.

That sadly is pathetic. That said, this is the kind of game we can come out flat in. On the heels of a midweek intense emotional and physical battle and going up against a rested opposition with talent..

So unlike many here, my hope is that we don't come out flat, and if we do then I hope we can weather the storm and fight thru it.

I hope we don't get a rash call that cost us a player and changes the complexion of the game.

And most importantly, I hope we can continue our display of fantastic football and come away with a win. Hopefully 2-0

Rested opposition - they played last night mate - we have had a days extra rest than arsenal mate?!

+1 It's always better to be cautiously hopeful and be pleasantly surprised than be arrogantly expectant and be brought down to reality with a bang.

You obviously didn't see the side they put out.
Only recognisable faces were Walcott and Wilshire (who I surmise will be on the bench) apart from them it was the EDS.
So none of their starting 11 against us played a minute - they are rested more than us.

I'd take a scruffy 1-0 in this one, I've been confident now for a long time (lost my typical City feelings) and when we were 1-0 down to a decent Napoli side thought we would win easily. No so sure on Sunday, first bad feeling I've had since Neverton....

Walcott, Wilshire and For our were the only senior players to start. And all 3 will be on the bench on Saturday at best.

They will start with a well rested 11. While at best we'd have 2. Walker and Jesus.

What you call arrogance i call confidence, and, after the evidence of the season so far, what gives you the right to call such fans pathetic for being so?

Am I the only one that spotted Sane come off injured in Naples? He will be a miss for us regardless of who comes in.

We will be fine, 4 own goals from Sanchez and he celebrates at 90 minutes with the city players and job done.

In all seriousness though, i have a feeling this is going to be a really tight game. Wednesday was such a high and more importantly such an intense game, its going to have taken a lot out of our players. I'll just be happy with any kind of win on Sunday. Also, after they got spanked 5-0 at liverpool, they will no doubt set up not to get hammered.

Wasn't he simply leggy and tired?
He signalled to the bench then sat on the floor while the play was going on. He had a burst down the wing just before so hope he's not tweaked something. He was speaking to physios as he came off. However he did then launch himself on the group celebrating Sterlings goal so hopefully like you say just felt tired.

You were confident against one of the best attacking sides n Europe, away at a ground no English club has won at, yet you have a bad feeling about Arsenal, who have spluttered frequently this season?
I'm quietly confident that we will spank them, and win relatively comfortably. We are playing some of the best football ever, Pep is managing the players very well to maintain this high level, resting many, and bringing off players that needed it.
I'm not arrogantly confident, as this is football, and anything can happen, but on current form, I cannot see Arsenal getting a result, other than via a bizarre sequence of events.
3-0

Cue the ground being filled with locusts, Jesus mysteriously vanishing from the pitch in the second half, and all the pies for the day being lost in shipment to a freak tornado in Bury.

Ederson

Walker
Otamendi
Stones
Delph

Diniho
D.Silva
Kdb

Sterling
Aguero
Sane

Bravo
Tosin
Danilo
Gundogan
B.Silva
Foden
Jesus

No way we will be allowed to play this formation (4-3-3-7) plus I wasn't aware that Bravo can play up top in a front 7
No doubt whinging Wenger will also have something to say about this formation

It’s a new rule FIFA are trialing in which the team with the best bench (determined by an independent panel of experts... and former players) gets to field said bench for the first 20 minutes of the match.

The new rule is meant to encourage attacking play and reduce goalless draws.

The only other time it was applied was for United against Huddersfield, which had the desired outcome in difficult trial conditions.
