14 wins on the bounce , thoroughly deserved wins at the current premier league champions and serie A unbeaten leaders , stuck five on the Dippers , and i think 22 matches unbeaten , so maybe we should be confident of beating an Arse team that has as usual put the lower teams to the sword and bottled the big games . We also owe the tarquins big time for the daylight robbery of an F.A. cup semi - final a few months ago , so if i am arrogant in thinking we will thrash Wenger and his team, then so be it , but they are well overdue a proper good hiding from us and Sunday can't come quick enough for me . As for Wengers bullshit presser about attack being the best form of defence , all i can say is , bring it on , if they do go toe to toe with us it will be a cricket score , how's that for distasteful arrogance ?

I remember when everyone wrote Arsenal off before the Chelsea game after they lost away to Liverpool heavily yet they ended up with a result.

Arsenal are one of if not the strangest team in the league in that they can look world class one week and bang average the next.

We cannot underestimate this game on Sunday. Arsenal have a decent record against us.

I recall a Bernardo Silva quote a few weeks ago that Pep had 3 meetings with the squad leading up to the game against Stoke City on how to attack their weaknesses and how they will be attacking. I don't think Pep will tolerate underestimating opponents.

It will be a serious test for us Sunday, anybody who writes Arsenal off is deluded, will be a cagey 2-0 or 2-1

one thing I'm certain of is we will score at least 4 if we can get one within the first 10-15 mins.

We just beat one of the best teams in Europe. Napoli have conceded 3 goals at home ALL season and we scored 4 in one game like Pep said. Napoli would destroy this current Arsenal side.

We are our own worst enemy. Show up, work hard, play with focus and determination and we’ll win comfortably IMO.

Their defense is penetrable. Conceded 13 goals in the league. Lost to Watford and had to come back to beat Swansea.

Ederson

Walker
Otamendi
Stones
Delph

Fernandinho
Gundogan
D. Silva

Sterling
Jesus
Sane

Subs: Bravo, Mangala, Danilo, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Aguero, Foden

De Bruyne looked tired and played 90 min against Napoli and West Brom both, would be shocked if he starts. Gundogan keeps his place and has more energy right now. Jesus comes back in for Aguero. Some posters here need to get the idea that we have starters and back ups out of their heads because that is simply not the case. The only reason that Bernardo isn’t starting more league games is because Pep wants to ease him, well see the benefits of this treatment come January just like we did with Sane last season.

What a strong squad we have. Walker, David and Jesus to come back in fresh.

We can bring on Aguero, Bernardo amazing.

If we are winning I would give Foden some minutes towards the end (10-15 min). Would mean the world to him and he deserves it after his recent performances. I’m sure Yaya wouldn’t mind. It’s a small gesture to show how much we value him.

Going for 3-1 win for us.

Sorry but what does Yaya's opinion have to do with it

If I was a betting man I would say De Bruyne starting is odds on and Gundogan not is also odds on.

Other than that I would agree with your side.

I don't think it will be remotely cagey, I think it will be balls out, full on, end to end stuff.

I think we will run with a rather flattering 5-2, with Arsenal opening up at the end and us picking them off. I hope and expect it to pan out like that, but equally, it's not a game we should in any way take for granted. If we are not at the races and Arsenal are, we could easily lose.

If we show any signs of complacency, they will make us bleed. No reason to think we will, though, so I’m confident of another win, with several goals.

I’d keep Gundo in for KDB, who looks tired.

The arrogance from our fans has inched up a bit since last week. It has since passed the point where a raw or narrow win will seem satisfactory.

That sadly is pathetic. That said, this is the kind of game we can come out flat in. On the heels of a midweek intense emotional and physical battle and going up against a rested opposition with talent..

So unlike many here, my hope is that we don't come out flat, and if we do then I hope we can weather the storm and fight thru it.

I hope we don't get a rash call that cost us a player and changes the complexion of the game.

And most importantly, I hope we can continue our display of fantastic football and come away with a win. Hopefully 2-0

There's a difference between arrogance and confidence, Dax...

Gundogan was subbed off in the 71st min vs Napoli and got 18 min vs West Brom. De Bruyne played 90 minutes in both games. If Pep was playing to start De Bruyne vs Arsenal I’m sure he would be the one to be taken off earlier.

Starting players game after game is counter productive.

Right now our strongest 8s are David and Kevin. Would be nice to see them both start all 3 games, WBA, Napoli & Arsenal. Unfortunately they would be tired in the second game and struggling in the 3rd. The whole team suffers because of this.

Pep is managing it wonderfully. First game David and Kevin, Gundogan comes on. Second game Gundogan & Kevin, Silva comes on. Third game Gundogan and David then De Bruyne comes on. Overall fitness levels are much higher with this rotation and the end result is the team plays much better.

Once Bernardo is up to speed completely will bring him into this and it will work even better.

Same reason Pep wants Sanchez. 5 players for 3 positions. Rotation keeps overall fitness levels much higher and competition means players will always try their best.
