Just watching Match of the Day 2 and realized, both Liverpool and United will now have to chew over these defeats for next two weeks ... I'm glad we didn't have that 5-2 just before international break ... having made it to the cup Quarter already helps too (which the scousers have crashed out of) ... oh, and they shipped all 7 from open play, none of them was penalties which makes our 5-2 to Leicester look much less crazy as a result ... and comparing with United's 6-1 today, they weren't even down to 10 men either ... whoa, what a day ... this seriously resets the whole season!!

Our boys now totally need to come back and be right up for it from the off ... against Arsenal and onwards and upwards we go!

I am really starting to get worried by the game against Arsenal. It is going to be difficult especially as we're missing both of our strikers. Plus with Livarpool having lost to Aston Villa yesterday. This game gives us the opportunity to close the gap by 3pts and still have the game in hand. But the at we're playing it is more likely that we will suffer yet another defeat.

If Pep doesn't lift the team for this game, and gets them to play the way they should/can play. Then there's only me choice come the end of the season he has to go. Pep's transfer activity and his buys over the last 3 windows has at best been awful. At the worst Pep has weakened the team by his selling of players and my replacing them with similar players. The strength of the team is worse now than when we pipped Livarpool to the title.

The board and Pep have until 23.00hrs to get us a forward which we need. I think that Pep refuses to see that this club cannot rely on just two strikers to see them through the whole season. That is without either one or both being injured again. Maybe even both at the same time again. Which is the case right now. So maybe if we're lucky we will have to play only the Arsenal game without both Sergio and Jesus. If as they are saying in the press it could be a lot longer. If that turns out that is to be true, we certainly can't rely on just Raheem alone to score the goals

Difficult one because when Kun and Jesus are fit what happens the extra forward under Pep. Rrdundant? Sterling will score goals centrally but in general will not be as effective as he is outwide where he will still score plenty. Our overall tally consequently falls.
The false nine approach has only limited impact as well if used consistently. I think our best approach over the coming weeks will be a solid defence involving all outfield players. If we keep the goals against down we can snatch points.
But this is shaping up to be a crazy season so predictions about anything become almost impossible. As I have said before if we can stay within 4 or 5 points of the leaders we can win this in April and May. If there is an April and May!!;

I think there is absolutely no chance of us signing a forward today. Jesus should hopefully be back for Arsenal and Kun wont be far off. Those two back totally changes our starting 11.

Looking forward to this like a hole in the head. Hope Dias and Laporte continue in defence - they are the hope for me this season.

I think we will beat this if we have a full-strength team.

Injuries permitting...

Ederson
Walker Dias Laporte Mendy
Kev Rodri Bernando
Torres Aguero Sterling.

I agree except perhaps Ake for Mendy at left back ...
