Arteta on borrowed time , if we give them a going over next week he will be gone , ever since Le Voyeur left the Goons job has been a poisoned chalice they are a club in free fall with self enitled fans living in the 90's , they have just spent a £100m on players who wouldnt get near a top six team , and their recruitment has been diabolical for a decade or more.
No need to rush KDB back for this , we have plenty of quality to tear their back four/ten apart.

They will go for the normal 5-4-1 and know the officials and VAR will be rooting for them.
We MUST overpower them quickly and put the chances away.
We will not get anything from officials or VAR this season, as has already been shown. It’s worse than ever.
Gabby deserves to play after his performance, as does Bernardo. We have plenty of strength in all areas. Let’s use them, get a good advantage and then swap the usual suspects out.
2-0

A New Format

New season, and a slightly new format ...

These pre-match threads will continue to drop here as soon as the previous game finishes, so those wanting to jump into a debate about what's next can do so straight away ... but these threads will now start with just the header and the poll for starters.

My previews and all the stats etc. will now drop in either a couple of hours later, or sometimes the next day. Will try my best to do these as quickly as I can but there are two reasons for it: One, that has more to do with logistics than anything else ... now with us fans back in the stadiums, it's no longer going to be a matter of me getting up from my living room and coming upstairs to my study to post what I've already drafted. Coming back home from Etihad is about a 4-5 hours journey for me, and away games will obviously all vary.

Second reason is ... that way I can now also incorporate the game gone by (and also wait for the next opponent's current gameweek to be done etc. and all stats to be updated for both teams as well) and that way do a better analysis of what's to come instead of a lot of guess work that I currently do. So hopefully you'd see these write-ups link up a review of the game gone by with a preview of the game ahead in a more seamless way and provide better context.

Those who ignore these first posts anyway can continue to do so ... and for those who enjoy them, I will drop a quick post wherever the thread has reached to let you know when this first post has been updated!

You my friend are a Godsend. I enjoy Your pre match posts so much. Brilliant stuff mate. You put a lot of time and effort into doing this I’m confident the whole forum appreciates your effort.

Hope - Nothing less than three points and probably three goals is acceptable. Worst Arsenal team in my lifetime. I hope Pep treats them with the contempt they absolutely deserve.
Reality - He will do something mental and probably try to save Arteta’s job by tossing them a draw

Good game to look forward to, got my lad a membership and a ticket for this one, cheap as Chips.

Well would it would be if I could get anywhere near being served.
