I am surprised that 79.4% have gone for a win, obviously a lot more confident than I feel. They are a better side than they were last season and are managing ti dig out results in a manner that we always used to. I still think that, on form, we are better but we have been a little indifferent this season, especially against the top 6 teams. I also think they have a greater sense of self belief than they had last season.

Come on City, get the three points and move on, we need to start on the front foot, they are a bit like liverpool in that they will be charging around from the off. For some reason we seem to struggle against sides that do that. A couple of quick goals please, everyone to play well and no more injuries.
Win today and we’ll have taken 7 points from Liverpool away, scum at home and Arsenal at home. You couldn’t ask for much more.

It’s important we now get in the zone like last season with the games coming thick and fast

There's a couple of records I'd like to see intact after the Tarquins game.

Firstly, Rodri's incredible unbeaten streak (I believe around 60 games) and also our long unbeaten home record.

The bookies seem to think we're in a degree of jeopardy, but the Tarquins haven't beaten us at home since 2015.

The stats seem of favour us, so that has to instill some confidence.

Come on City let's show them we're still the big boss.

so by your accounts we havent been great this season but we are 2 points off them , so by your logic we have bee digging out results as well have we not?

First game after the international break never seems to start well. Hopefully we click early because the press is going to be well on. With Stones and Walker out the back 3-4 will be interesting,

i genuinely dont understand the degree of jeopardy that the bookies think we are in, we are 2 points of the top despite having players missing for large parts of the season, we are missing stones and walker but have international quality players to replace them, im not saying im not worried but only because im always worried about city but i genuinely dont understand this level of jeopardy that city are apparently in and the idea that arsenal are all conquering all the time.

My fear is that our back four could be all over the place today

Tbf what we've lost in terms of control with Stones being out is regained by having Akanji over Walker. Can see us sticking to a flat back four today, with only really Akanji making little runs into midfield.

do you know why that is, its because you have become conditioned to feel that way by the press, they continually push a narrative that arsenal or different level and that liverpool are unbeatable and that city should be happy just to be there despite us winning 5 out of the last 6 and no matter how hardened you are to it, it does seep in and you start to believe a little bit of it.

When we tonked em last year, i was super nervous, when we beat the rags i was super nervous despite knowing we were better than them it has just ground me down to the point where we start to doubt ourselves, fortunately that doesnt work its way into the team and it shows that we arent entitled twats like the tarquins and the dippers who believe all the bullshit that the press feed em and that all their players are the best in every position.
For me it’s a gut feeling rather than a thought. I don’t think they’re special we normally bounce them most times. I just wouldn’t be surprised if they did a number on us today. Saying that hope we slap them to Pluto :)
