Arsenal Post Match Thread.

Should teach the players not to expect anything from these refs, when they think it's unjust and complain the club gets fined for not controlling their players FFS.
Money mogul Milner on Sterling for another blatant pen all these decisions should be compiled by the club at the end of the season and shown on youtube how bent these ****s are..

Agreed... it's beyond the joke that we feel we should have learn to accept this as part of the game.

penalty aside....do you genuinely think that we merited the win the way we had played....I dont

lets say that we had scored a last minute wonder goal...a 30yd pile driver by toure that breaks the cross bar on the way in....I would have still said that we got away with one as our performance for the vast majority of the match was well below par....the amount of passess that went astray was shocking for us....the movement in midfield wasnt there, we consistnatly lost possession and after the our first goal they had the majority of the possession, our defending was shakey and last ditch....we didnt look solid at all.
Are you real we had the best chances . we were ahead twice in the game. we were very close to winning the game, playing away.

Penalty or no penalty, this City team is nowhere near good enough to compete seriously at the top level of football. The general standard of our play today was way below what is required. I have witnessed some very bad defensive setups in my time, but some of the errors committed by our current defence borders on the schoolboy standard, and it is a major weakness, along with a non competitive midfield. I'm really surprised we are still in the top four of the premier league, given the glaring weaknesses in our present team. One can only hope that Mr Guardiola manages to sort out these weaknesses, and can then give all City fans a team that can compete for major honours with a realistic chance of winning. From what I've seen so far this season, the prospects don't look too good.

have you watched us over the last thirty years, a midfield with silva, he is in the top two midfield players in the premire league. perhaps you would rather be watching Pogaba???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Haha, Sergio

i thought our attacking play was really poor for the majority of the game especially against a team that was visably scared of us ....i didnt wathc utd vs west brom so no idea how they played...do you? ;-)[/QUOTE

wE SCORED TWICE away from home , that really must be really poor??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Pssst missing the David Luiz at home red card shout for a foul on Sergio with acres of space to run into behind. Oh I'd put the Everton away game Sterling penalty shout in there too as we were well ontop in that first half.. it's bit harder to argue a win given how we collapsed in the second half but I don't think that would have happened going in at 1-0.

What's that got to do with anything.

A draw was the correct result, we didn't do enough and Arsenal were well in the game after ten minutes.

Apart from Ospina's save from Fernandinho, we promised lots but delivered very little in the second half.

For the record, there wasn't an Arsenal fan turning up today who thought they stood much of a chance, such is how crap their confidence is.

So arsenal fans decide what their confidence level Is????????????????????????????????????????? I never let my dad decide what my confidence level was when I played football,

and how many save did our keeper have to make and how many times did they hit the post?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

We were equally crap in defence, equally flat after the international break so a draw is fair in that sense. I still feel our goals were the cleaner/purer their first was scrappy and their second was from a corner which should have been delt with(should have had someone on the post too). Balance of play aside if the right calls are made we win, a lucky win is still a win.

Both their goals were shit defending much like many of the other goals conceded this season. We were the better team who created the best chances but we have to start winning these games. Our record against the teams at the top is terrible. It needs to get better and we also need to stop throwing points away against average sides like Stoke.

Same old errors and inability to put games to bed, and or defend a winning position.
6 or 7 of this team won't get a sniff next season, they don't have the ability, legs or football brain to apply Peps magic. It fuckin frustrates the shice out of me to watch a simple game get fucked up by idiots who can't make a simple pass and move, make space for themselves, and cross a ball with some accuracy and intent.
Second half was abysmal, Arsenal were there for the taking, and we don't take the game to them.
Chelsea won't lose two on the trot ffs, at least I doubt they will, unless the entertaining, exciting, energetic and ruthless City turn up.
Got to finish in the top 4 this season, have a clear out and rebuild where necessary over the summer, and get to it next August.
It's been a steep learning curve for Pep in the Premiership, and the team to be honest, but he plays a simple game, keep the ball, pass and move, attack, score more than the opposition, and win the ball back sharpish like. Problem is, the players can't do it consistently throughout a game, let alone from match to match.

Is there a reason you have to put 50 question marks in every post? If not can you stop doing it.

Why does everyone think our problems will be over when we sign new full backs? Our track record of signing defenders leaves some room for improvement.

With our defence there are no assumptions that can be made.

I just think we are very average. We need probably 6 or 7 players and that's pathetic when you think of the investment in recent years. Our defending is amateurish scoring two away from home should see you win games. Navas can't get a game in his preferred position to play him at right back before Zab? Yaya was awful today but it's sad that we are still reliant on him to change games.

Our track record of signing defenders with Pep as manager ain't bad though... hopefully will continue
