Arsenal Post Match Thread.

That was like watching 2 pub teams slugging it out today , the only real quality were the two City finishes , mis placed passes, high uninspiring corner kicks , shit tackling , niggly fouls all over the pitch , humping it long into midfield , entertaining dog shit , so yes your probably right- it's the sort of neutral game you'd watch shaking your head at how shit it was.
Did you watch the Ushited game

Unfortunately, that's the problem. Some players have a real winning mentality and work ethos but others just show up, think the odd great pass here and there is enough and that's all you have to do. he isn't alone either! Since we signed the mainstay of our side, A hungry Kompany, Zab, silva and Aguero and point to prove Toure, too many of our "big" signings have been like this.
I feel really sorry for Silva. The past 3 years (certainly last 2) have been a waste for him. Week in, week out he is the only player who shows composure, creativity and the ability to pass to a blue shirt. Still don't think we know what his best position is because we continually pander to the likes of KDB and Fernandinho who have both been average this season.
It should also be noted that Silva Now seems to be Spain's main man and has a good goal record.

We were ahead TWICE get real.

What's that got to do with anything.

A draw was the correct result, we didn't do enough and Arsenal were well in the game after ten minutes.

Apart from Ospina's save from Fernandinho, we promised lots but delivered very little in the second half.

For the record, there wasn't an Arsenal fan turning up today who thought they stood much of a chance, such is how crap their confidence is.

You shown me fuck all evidence I watch football quite a lot pal... you're a spinner because you don't want admit you made a tit of yourself for defending it in the first place.

He's not spinning/twisting when he makes contact there he's already facing the ball and he stretches with everything he has because he fucked up... look again Simon, you're wrong. I would be livid if that was given against us... at the player for doing it. Case closed.

at 0.03 seconds on the video he is facing the opposite direction ftom where the ball is...so if he doesnt spin how does he end up facing the right way......

he then leans towards the ball (attmpts to jumo and propells himself forward and does this cause he is trying to change direction).....again baisc mechanics.

he missses with his head/brushes his head and comes down on his outstrecthed arm and the ball falls to the floor...his arms doesnt stop the ball going to one of our players...his foot has already done that. for his body to do the action he wants to do ie move forward towards the ball as he is previously movng int he opposite direction and all is weight is on the foot that has just blocked the ball he has to help propell himself int hat direction using his arm and switiching his feet very quickly push off and forwards and also lean forward as well...

It is not deliberate and no matter what you say will change my mind.....im sure you think the opposite and wont be changed either so we will have to agree to disagree.

Im more disappointed that we didnt make enough during the rest of the game when we should have done.....whatever your opinion on that one incident our performance was lacking...as Pep said...we forgot to play esp in the first half and could pass properly (his reason for bringing yaya on) ive no doubt that Pep thinks its a penalty but i would expect nothing less but he like me will also be disappointed with our basic performance. Penalty or not does nothing to change that....we were really poor for large parts of the game today and the overall perfomance is what we need to change as decsions like this come and go and always will and we cannot affect that

You seem to feel like you have something to teach me on the matter of something so simple, it's common sense.

You shown me fuck all evidence to support your case I watch football quite a lot... you just seem incapable of holding your hands up and admitting you called it wrong.

oh and again....the insults..are you angry cause someone doesnt agree with you...do you think calling someone a tit/accusing someone of making themself look like a tit might will make them change their minds?????????? you might want to think about that as it could be an issue

I think it was you that also claimed that you dont use your arms to jump...i wasnt trying to teach you anything.....just showing you that indeed it was you that was wrong on that point

We were equally crap in defence, equally flat after the international break so a draw is fair in that sense. I still feel our goals were the cleaner/purer their first was scrappy and their second was from a corner which should have been delt with(should have had someone on the post too). Balance of play aside if the right calls are made we win, a lucky win is still a win.

Yup, I need to see more than we are getting right now from Pep.

The problem with an ideology is that it refuses to bend for anybody, until such time, it becomes pitied or something comes along to put it back in the corner.

Pep is still a young manager and if he is the thinker he is made out to be, should be embracing all forms, including pragmatism, until such time he knows his personnel can deliver closer to what he demands.

Christ, we had a kid earlier this season who had Marcus Rashford in his pocket and yet we have to resort to Navas at right-back today.

I agree with many posts on here that next season is already being forced into another transitional period.

Im as patient as they come and a glass full to the brim bloke when it comes to Pep but today was a shit performance too far for me and like you, im pissed off.

i have no issue with him instilling his game plan into players but what i didn't expect was him sticking to the same players almost regardless of how they perform.

Our full backs are so fucking poor its untrue and right now, him sticking by them is doing my nut in.

We have other options at the club and he should be using them and as a fan, im more than happy to then say if we win fuck all no problem, its for the greater good going forwards but if he plays Clichy and Navas as full backs and we win fuck all then on his head be it im afraid.

again you are completely wrong...played football all my life until my mid/late twenties...

again people resort to start being personal when they feel that its a last resort......

so lets concentrate on the facts....

have you ever seen a person jump without using their arms in ay time of pro sport?

reach forward stretch...your arms also come out to balance your movement and create balance and also to help propel yourslef forward..same in numerous other sports and actions...go and watch dancers, ice skaters and watch how the jump and balance......

IM not wrong about anything as the decsion wasnt given...and deservedly so.....if it hits his arm its completely accidental...he is not moving his hand in that direction to clear the ball...he is moving his head towards it and stretching....

The penalty that wasnt given isnt the reason why we didnt win....we didnt play well at all....if we had won either by that penalty I would have said the same thing (while gratefully taking the 3 pts....i get the feeling many others would as well

IM not wrong about anything as the decsion wasnt given...and de

oh yes we would have won if the penalty had been given..but the decsion if it had been given would have been the wrong one......therefore no we shouldnt have won and didnt deserve to..that is not spin...all are facts (well all but except the fact that we dont know if we would have scored the penalty but as you put it with Yaya ont he pitch it was the most likely outcome)

the difference is that yo believe it was the wrong decsion to not give a penalty....i believe it was the right decsion to not give it therefore im not blaming the ref for us not winning...im looking at our overall performace......you are (from what ive seen and i could be wrong on this as ive only read your posts in reply to mine) blaming the ref for not winning ignoring our poor performance. the performance was poor all around and a wrongly given penalty wouldnt change that.......

if it had been the most blatant penalty in the world and it had been given (and we had scored) i would still say the same....we didnt deserve to win.....but i would have taken it
We hit the post Twice perhaps you think we should have played like Ushited at home to WBA We were far the more attacking side , AWAY from
home, get real

Kdb getting unnecessary abuse. He is arguably the most technical player we have.

Pep is not getting best out of him as he is playing him in the wrong position.

Ultimately the majority of our players simply don't fit peps system of play.

Navas at right back.. this was wrong time to experiment.

Can you two get a fucking room, neither of you are going to give any ground

i thought our attacking play was really poor for the majority of the game especially against a team that was visably scared of us ....i didnt wathc utd vs west brom so no idea how they played...do you? ;-)

No player made more tackles (7) than makeshift right-back Navas today, and he also made 2 key passes (only Silva managed more for City).
You're right, but I think you are wasting your time. There are people on here who just happen to hate Navas no matter what he does (applies to other players too).

I could have said a lot worse if I was that angry, more irritated than anything else by your ignorrance... when you say twisting it's almost as though you think it's the first phase we are claiming as handball, it's when he stretches his arm out we are rightfully claiming was handball.

I will leave it there as there's obviously no getting through to you, I thought it was quite simple.

If Ozil had not made a cock of that fucking back pass from Otimendi and scored from it then it would have evened up our penalty appeal , we didn't deserve to win it , they also had a few good chances and failed to take them.

The draw was the fair result - we played shit for long spells , we look average to me, Spurs and Chelsea are better than us- we need to stop this tiresome crap that we are somehow better than anybody else - we simply aren't .
We were the far more attacking side, we did not play shit for long spells. the Arse struggled to keep up with us. we may not be the best at getting results but we play fantastic football perhaps you would prefer watching that shit at cold Trafford.

Should teach the players not to expect anything from these refs, when they think it's unjust and complain the club gets fined for not controlling their players FFS.
Money mogul Milner on Sterling for another blatant pen all these decisions should be compiled by the club at the end of the season and shown on youtube how bent these ****s are..

Two diabolical pieces of defending but if Kun takes his two chances we win.

It's missed chances that have fucked us. If Kev had taken his agin renters matters would've been very different.

Yes......but results win trophies.

We can do both.
