Comparing this season's table to last Arsenal have gone backwards, but relatively speaking they have gone forwards because teams like City and Liverpool have fallen further! Most people seem to think that Arsenal are closer to making a title challenge than they have been for some time. Liverpool are down something like 20 points which is spectacular. Even Chelsea and Utd have only added a handful of points. Partly the conclusion is that the Premiership has got a lot better as a whole. You go almost anywhere away from home and you can have a very difficult game.
However if you finish 3rd when City and Utd have poor seasons, then maybe it's just the same old Arsenal who have been made to look better by rivals slipping. The rest of the Premiership has got stronger, but in City's case we had a nightmare run in Spring where we played some terrible stuff.
If City can get Toure out, and replace him, then Arsenal will come under pressure because City's squad is still exceptionally strong.
Arsenal need 1 player: a centre forward. Maybe a keeper too, but Ospina is new. De Gea was a joke in his first season.
City need 1 player as well. Toure out and someone in, but who can replace him
