Your signings that summer were Michael Ball, Andreas Isaksson, Hatem Trabelsi, Bernardo Corradi and Dietmar Hamann apparently for a grand total of £2.4M. Changed days indeed!

Feels good knowing since then we have bought the likes of Adebayor, Clinchy, Nasri and Sagna.

I wasn't having a go like what seems to have come across,, just emphasising how far you have come in a relatively short time!

Looking back, seems we've perhaps both done decent out the transfers. We got very decent money & by in large replaced them well. The players we really missed were Van Persie & Fabregas, & Cole before that. They really were a class apart.

What are you guys opinion on how the ex Arsenal guys did / are doing for you?

Clichy have gone backwards and Nasri have improved.

Clichy had a brilliant first season, coulden´t believe that he only cost 7 mill £. Been distinctly average since then having the odd great game. For the transfer fee we paid and the amount sucsess we have had these past 3 years I think most people would agree that Clichy been a good signing, model proffesional as well. 6.5-7/10 signing for me.

Nasri had a ok first season nothing special, started like a house on fire then slowly deteriorated. His second season wasen´t anything to by just like the rest of his teammates. The reason he was singled was bc the infamous wall incident were he ducked the ball.

To his credit though he was very good last season, one of our most consistent players if you ask me. And tbf to him he hasen´t played in best position so it´s difficult to judge him fairly. I would give Nasri the same rating as Clichy.

Yeah didn't say you was just getting in a sly dig. All 3 were useful good signings that have played. Sagna might see more of the bench than the pitch this season.

It does seem odd that bookies have City as 5-2 2nd favourites for the premier league whereas tikataka beautiful game arsenal are as short as 6-1 with absolutely no justification for it

Beautiful football but only against the also rans?
Arsenals record against the teams they who they really regard as their rivals is extremely poor,they are far too easily overrun in midfield against the better sides and Wenger simply hasn't addressed it

I am at Arsenal v New Jersey Red Bulls. There is a replica of the PL trophy in City colors here, and there is a line 60 people long filled with Arsenal supporters waiting to get their photo with it.

I got interviewed by an Arsenal fan reporter outside the stadium, because I have a City kit on. Was asked, "What Arsenal player would you like to see play for City? " I replied, "No one."

Boy, did I make people mad!

Interesting question though, can't think of anybody I'd snatch their hands off for. A couple I could maybe make an argument for having if we didn't have to go out of our way to get them, but nobody leaps out of their squad shouting 'pick me, pick me'.
