I expected more from Arsenal and I expected Wenger to have had a clearer idea of the formation. Ozil looks like he is going to have a terrible season.

Whoever started that Zigic rumour, well done, picked up by Irish media and the missus is hitting the fucking roof.

Saw on the BBC website (via Birmingham post) that Zigic's agent says Arsenal are after him. The story is getting substance! Would be hilarious (and typical) if true.

Can't see Wenger spending big on Cavani, or wanting to pay wages for Falcao when Giroud will be back in a few months. They're both better than him though, by a country mile.

End of December. Could be costly.

Watch Wenger become a big spending hypocrite as he panic buys a striker before the end of the week.

I think he's more likely to go for a bargain basement type, a free or a loan. Shocked they were never in for Eto'o.

Either way we get to laugh at the twat.

Arsene Wenger:
"You will ask me straight away who we will buy,” he said. “I give you the answer - at the moment, no-one.

"If you want to make everyone happy, you buy all of these players but what is important is the performance on the football pitch.

“If you look at the players we had on the bench and those out injured, we have players. You cannot buy every time a player is injured.

"We are open for any position as long as we feel the player can strengthen the squad. Buy to buy? I don't see the purpose of that."

<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/9443883/transfer-news-arsenal-manager-arsene-wenger-reluctant-to-sign-another-striker" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... er-striker</a>

That confirms it for me, he will be buying a striker before the window shuts.

No way Wenger will pay big money for Cavani or Falcao.

He's already had a big transfer this summer with Sanchez, I can't see him having another.

Arsenal must be hoping Sanchez clicks as a striker, otherwise they're in deep trouble. The extremely raw Sanogo or the unfancied Campbell really aren't the answer for a team trying to win the Premiership.

What happened to Ozil btw? He looks a fraction of the player he was at Madrid.
