Arsenal are in trouble. They don't have proper CB backup and they dont have a proper DM. Sanchez is great but not what they needed.

If the rags get their shit together then even they might displace the arse. DOnt want to see that, but rags now have a btter forward line that Arsenal. In midfield though arsenal are slightly better even if neither side has steel.

Everton will suffer from not having replaced Distin, he looks past it and they're leaking goals as a result, Spurs still look soft through the middle and in defence against the better sides and the rags are ridiculously unbalanced and easy to get at. I think they're going to retain their top 4 spot by default barring miracles from either Pochettino or Martinez.

I keep seeing people compare this to Sturridge going to Liverpool. The major difference though is even as a youngster Sturridge was a great finisher. He was very rough in areas but it was clear he had everything in his locker to be a great striker as he is now showing. Welshit just can't finish the only thing he has going for him is his pace and a good engine. Walcott is a better striker than Welshit so there was no need for this panic buy.

While I feel Welbeck is a better player than some on here give him credit for, you're spot on about Sturridge IMO. It was clear to see that he always had the technical ability and it was just application/attitude that was letting him down. Welbeck, as hard-working as he is, just isn't in the same class.

Apparently, Welbeck has already suffered an injury in training for the England friendly. "Rolled his ankle", it seems and may not play during the friendlies..

We won't finish above them, neither will Everton. Think United will though.

I saw Arsenal fans saying this on Arsenal mania. Sturridge is one of the best strikers in the world. Wellbeck is hardworking and hit and miss. For every good game there are 2 bad ones.

I was underwhelmed to say the least by this transfer, but at the end of the day it's a Giroud backup who has at least scored in the Premier League (unlike Sanogo). And at 23 he is at the age when he needs to start really showing he has what it takes to cut it at the highest level. I remember a couple seasons back Walcott would get a lot of hate from Arsenal fans because of his lack of composure and poor finishing, but he stepped up brilliantly. It's a pity that he was out injured for 95% of last season and his game will probably suffer somewhat because of it.

Sturridge is one of the best strikers in the world now. He's had one amazing season at Liverpool. I may have my reservations about our Danny, (honestly weird to think of him like that after seeing him in United colours for so long) mostly because I don't want to be disappointed, but I'm not closing the book on him yet, nor will I if his first one or two seasons don't set the league on fire. Arsenal fans must have patience, if they are to maintain something like sanity.
