Nice to see Ozil is still the most expensive piece of shit in football history.

David silva is the best number 10 in the pl as of now..I haven't seen much of ozil while he was at RM,but he seems to be highly rated by many,it must be due to him being played out of position by wenger that he is not able to perform to his full ability, whatever it is i hope wenger continues to play ozil in the wide role.

while true that he got many assists in La liga (and Mata had like 2 times that goals + assists of Silva), the true measure of a playmaker or a no.10 is how much you miss him when he's not in the team and secondly how much of the game he runs (through visual inspection and not through stats only - stats show that Nasri was as good if not better than Silva in a few metrics last season). Silva does this much better than either of them who often go missing.

Further, at Real, Ozil had the advantage of Ronaldo and Di Maria constantly opening spaces for him to put a precise through ball, and modric and alonso were responsible for running the game and ozil was responsible for providing the final ball. That artificially lifted his assists stats.
Ya,it was so obvious from yesterdays game and also from the few games that i have seen of ozil with arsenal that he cannot dictate a game as good as david silva when played wide or regardless of his playing position.

Excellent game yesterday, ebbed and flowed, could have gone either way. We scored 2 great goals, Wilshere and Sanchez will have big seasons. Ozil is useless, no comparison with Silva.
Time to bite the bullet and accept not all big money signings will work. He will be benched once Walcott comes back anyway. We are becoming more a pace based side and at times we swarmed all over Manchester City and looked very good, especially early on. City showed why they are champions though. They have big players who will make the difference at important times. Cracking game.

Being played out of position certainly does not help, but Ozil's problems are down to his own lack of form. At Madrid he was one of the best players in the world and probably the best 10 in the world. His form has dipped not just for Arsenal, but Germany too. The biggest problem is that he refuses to acknowledge that he is under performing and even said he did not understand why he was no longer Germany's golden boy. Ozil has never been the strongest mentally, but he needs to take responsibility and work on his game or else he could waste his career.

He is not good enough to play through the middle, we have better players there. Wilshere and Ramsey are the heart beat of the team. He will either make it out wide or become a bit part player, preferably the latter. Even when Ozil starts centrally, he has not got the physical attributes to handle it or the skill set of a silva to create space, too left footed and not physical enough, he ends up drifting left naturally to get involved. It has been a year now so he has had time to settle, look at Sanchez, 2 weeks to find his feet and now hes flying. That is what you expect of a 40m signing, someone that finds solutions rather than looks for excuses.

Yeh he has been shocking and deserves a place on the bench. Disappointing to see what's happening to him and Mata.

Jack Wilshere

Never rated him as a footballer but Saturday made me realize what a utter wanker he is as a person. Thinks he has it all when really he has fuck all. Would hate to see him in a City Shirt

He has some skill for sure but dawdles too much in possesion and is a cheating whining little fuck,i agree he isn't very likeable.

He has failed to grow as a footballer but as massive dickhead instead. Ramsey had a horrific injury spell and has a grown to be a much better player
