Sanchez reminds me most of Tevez, but quicker and better at dribbling, and not with the ego issues

on the other hand, no mention of empty seats - or people leaving early

That Sanchez guy ain't bad. Liverpool would be a different prospect if they'd landed him. Geography has a lot to do with where players go now, as it's a lot better being a millionaire in London than in Liverpool (and Manchester for that matter).

I'm not disagreeing on the importance of location, but most players want the right club in my opinion.

Arsenal are a regular top 4 side, have a world recognised manager, and have a new swanky looking stadium.
Liverpool were, arguably, made to look worse than are when Suarez left (and most thought he was always going to), have a rent-a-quote manager, and have a run down stadium in the middle of terraced houses.

If Liverpool were regular top 4, had Wenger as manager, and a shiny new stadium in a re-vamped part of Liverpool, with Arsenal in an old stadium in a run down part of London with a questionable manager bigging them up, Sanchez could well be in Liverpool and be happy to be there.

From the BBC:

"St Etienne defender Loic Perrin has revealed that he's been contacted by Arsenal over a potential move, the Mirror reports.
Perrin is said to have told French media: "I was contacted personally. Arsenal are interested. But for now, there is still no contact with Saint-Etienne."

Surely some mistake? Wenger the moral guardian of the game would never tap up a player before talking to his club?
