Think that this time it's decisive seeing how you have to play Chelsea next..

Avoiding Leicester doing the double this weekend is far more crucial for your lot, otherwise we could see banners being flown over the swamp yet again.

Weve won that game already...just waiting for Chelsea to do what they do best at the bridge

Who says they are arrogant?

just for laughs:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2015/01/23/8218572/wenger-work-permits-stopped-me-signing-di-maria-at-17?ICID=HP_BN_1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2 ... ID=HP_BN_1</a>

i make the almost wenger XI to be:
Messi
Pique
Toure
Zlatan
Pogba
di maria
Ronaldo

is there a top player that wenger hasnt "almost signed"

How the fuck has Gabriel Paulista been given a work permit? He's a 24 year old brazilian without a single cap, at any age level.

Came on here for the same question. Interesting indeed. I don't want to shout already double standards and that, but the news that they gonna sign him came basically out of nowhere, and the work permit issue was almost none of an issue. Yet in Iheanacho's case, being MVP in a FIFA tournament, there are such complications.

Wenger says work permits should be scrapped and then a few days later signs a lad who would never get a permit in a month of Sundays.

You've got to fucking laugh!

So is this Paulista guy a hardman defender (what they need) or he's one of those graceful attacking "defenders" (David Luiz)?

I understand the rules are being tightened in the summer. Having said that, under the new rules anyone player costing more than £10m will be guaranteed a work permit which would mean Paulista would still qualify under the new rules given his fee is quoted at €15m...........unless of course the Euro bombs below €1.50/ £1.

Just looked at the 'exceptional talents' rule on here https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-exceptional-talent/overview

Look at the bottom of the 1st page...

What you can and can’t do

You can:

do voluntary work
travel abroad and return to the UK
bring family members with you

You can’t:

get public funds
work as a doctor or dentist in training
work as a professional sportsperson or sports coach

A lesser version of Luiz without the severe mind gaps

That sounds really good.

Arsenal now have all their players back and I wonder if this will confuse Wenger. Hopefully he does not try and fit all his best players in the same team. He should make the big choices between Ozil/Carzola, Walcott/Chamberlain, Ramsey/Rosicky and Giroud/Welbeck. For me Carzla and Giroud deserve to start. Harder to judge between the other four, but he should stick with the way the team were playing when they had injuries.
