Do they have a strong side?
Yeah watching it the arsenal coaching staff wearing white tracksuits with black trim bit like their neighbours ( blue shorts , it could be worse )

West Brom putting out a reserve side also, 11 changes and about 5 making their debut.
Absolute disgraceful team put out by my club, once again showing total contempt for this cup & to the fans paying good money to see this. Proper boils my piss that wba do this every year.

I'll never accept that there's a need to sacrifice cups for the sake of league progress. I understand why they do it - supposed professionalism - but just think it's a counterproductive waste.
By sacrificing the cup run, they lose the kudos of giving Arsenal a game, or even beating them, and getting great publicity; a boost for the fans; potential money from the cup run; making a statement as to the club's strength, after just being relegated, with the confidence which goes with that; lose kudos with their fans, who've wasted time and money going to see a shambles of an effort, seeing a 6-0 home loss.
What's the point of entering the competition/selling tickets for it?
Pathetic - and I like the baggies!

The EFL rules oblige them to enter the comp.

In which case the fans should be let in free.
I have said this for years.
If my club is going to be so contemptuous of this competition, then don’t charge fans to watch it.
The ticketing for last nights game was £15 adult / £5 junior if bought in advance. On the night tickets were an extra £5. Most on the night ticket purchases would have been bought before the teams were announced.
Most baggies were hoping for an Arsenal reserve team & a strong baggies team in the hope of turning over a low on confidence Arsenal side. What we got was shockingly bad selection, even by our standards & there was a real sense of disbelief & apathy on the matchday forum.
I totally disagree with my club binning the cups every year & just wish we would be honest for once & treat the fans with some respect, be upfront about it & make it free to watch.
If our squad is so thin & poor that we can’t risk putting a reasonable team out & have to put a scratch kids team out instead, then that's beyond desperate.

I honestly look very fondly at tiur club with envious eyes. You guys must wake up every day & pinch yourselves to have such incredible owners, a squad of unreal quality players competing for everything possible under the best manager in the world.

I wouldn’t trust my clubs owner to sit the right way around on the toilet. ☹️
