Title race still in our hands , but it would be nice just for once for a North London club to grow a pair and actually give the Dippers a game , probably clutching at straws but maybe the Goons can surprise us and turn up for once and show some bottle.

Liverpool will be 3-0 up at HT, Xhaka red card, Jota, Diaz, Salah 1 goal each.

Dont know what else people expecting from Arsenal...

We can’t rely on Arsenal lol.

Accept the dippers have caught us. It’s all about fine margins now. Hopefully our mini blip is over and the Scousers have 1 to come.

Arteta has them playing very well but they don’t have that steel that this Veria team has who for me was robbed by the bent officiating when they played Liverpool, they put in the same amount of effort and commitment but the officials that day were not having them getting any points from it.

Unfortunately I dont think you should count on us to get anything. Liverpool are our bogey team and we normally get spanked. I'm hoping for the draw but their midfield and wingbacks usually overrun us. Our attacks also normally fizzle out against them as they get players back quick and we dont get them up quick enough.

I dont understand why we would play 4-3-3 against their 4-3-3. Their midfield has more energy than ours and I fear Partey-Xhaka-Ode will get over run and their full backs will be having the game of their life. Team for team ours is not equal to their as of yet.

I think they struggle against a packed defence so I would actually like to see us have 3atb with 5 in midfield to negate their fullbacks and the energy of their midfield. Try to hit them on the counter with Martinelli/Ode/Saka. Otherwise I can already see what happens.

Our midfield gets overrun, fullbacks pushed up high, Alexander Arnold Trent puts in a cross and Jota scores with the header/volley.

Hope we get something for our top 4 chances and also prefer you winning the league.

To be honest, this is a good post. I often think for where we are we go in too open in the big games, & the more superior teams like City & Liverpool can just play through us.

Im hoping the performance against City at home was a bit of a turning point, but at the same time as was pointed out a lot on here we had a free week & City had played midweek so looked a bit leggy.

If we can go in with the same intent & organisation we could do ok, but obviously we need to be disciplined and to avoid giving away stupid penalties & getting players sent off. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if either (or both) happened again on Wednesday.

5-0 to Liverpool, we need to up our game, apart from the derby we have been struggling to get over the line and summed up on Monday. I expect Liverpool to win all their remaining fixtures bar the game against us, which will be a draw, City on the other hand could get nervous especially if we are still balls deep in the champions league.
