Sorry mate, just catching up with this. Well up until 4 or 5 years ago we were a died in the wool top 4 club, was it 20 seasons of qualifying for the Champions League or something like that? So yeah we've had a poor 4 or 5 years league wise where we've dropped out the top 4 but it's a lot different to Leicester who had never even qualified for the top 4 and haven't since.
What were they, 5000-1 to win the league, and what were we at the start of this season, 50-1?
I'm not coming on giving it Billy Big Bollocks now we are winning, I've been on this site for years, and we've been shite for a lot of that time and took the hits that come with it. I've been respectful as I would expect any fan from another side to be, and I think I've been respectful even this season even now we are having a good season, I've always been a cautious guy, and because of that I still don't think we will win the league.
My point was always questioning about Liverpool going forward, and not yourselves as I never question if you will be up there now, I just take that as a given. And as per usual my timing was impeccable as the game after I questioned them they go on to hump Utd 7-0 to perhaps back up your point and slam me into the mud a bit! :-)
I hate Liverpool big time, but also have respect for what they do and how good they are,
about 2 or 3 weeks ago I watched them play and they were back to their old self, the press, the speed, the chances, it looked good, only down to them was the league table and the points gap to a top 4 place and could they get back in the race, Now look at them, it's not will they be top 4 team, its when, Even United could find them self in the fight for a top 4 place with Liverpool and Newcastle,
I still feel Arsenal is close to winning the title and the games at Anfield and at the Etihad will be the games that sort out the winner, after yesterday's Liverpool thumping of united they will be hard to beat Liverpool at Anfield,
Their press and tempo at Anfield is not easy to play against in the style that city and arsenal like to play,
they are all over teams playing out from the back and make you look daft at times,
Also, You get nothing at Anfield? the match officials and VAR are so behind Liverpool, you have to be 100% to take anything away from there when Liverpool needs the points,
Going forward depends on the here and now for Arsenal, if they get over the line then they can build something,
but slip up and don't win the title it could be ugly from the fans, then the pressure will defo mount up on the manager and players next season and you will need a flying start,
look whoever wins the title will be well-deserved, if Arsenal gets over the line then I will be the first to say well done, even if you don't and manchester city pip you, our fans are not glory hunters and like to rub it in your face, we will say well played unlucky you put up an amazing fight lets go again next season,
