Apparently no signings this window - according to David Ornstein.
They need to hold off on announcing they're targeting one of Europe's best strikers just as season card renewals go out before actually signing a third rate striker instead at the end of July.

Don't you need a new defensive midfielder?
Yes, I get a hunch one of our current defensive midfielders is about to find himself 'unavailable' for some time so we need a new one just as long as they can double as a right back, but without actually being as good as a proper right back.

Someone please post the gif of the arsenal fans after Adebayor scored and ran the full length of the pitch at the Etihad to wind them up…
Funnily enough, I was showing that gif to a couple of people at work yesterday (one City, one Arsenal). Search for “Flanagan” and you should find it! Page 76 I think

We delivered much back in return via two very targeted fan chants toward Adebayor.

He still talks about one of them.

Yes and no. Some games like Feyenoord home, Rags home, Brighton away have been games where City have simply lost all composure which you'd never have seen in previous seasons and which are indicative that something wasn't right from a confidence perspective.

I'm not trying to belittle City here in case folks get the wrong idea (clearly some people's backs have been put up)- I'm just highlighting it as examples of things you'd just very rarely see a City side do in previous years and which can't be levelled simply at injuries. There seemed to be something psychologically wrong with the team.

Seems City may have turned a corner now so let's see if that continues.
Those collapses were largely brought about by huge voids left by injuries. The Scum loss was Nunes playing RB a position I dont think he has ever occupied in his career. Against Brighton, we were missing Dias, Ake and Stones from our back line so had to play an academy teenager at CB. Feyenoord yes was unforgiveable.

I know you're not belittling City (you never do) -- I just disagreed with that statement.

Apparently Trossard has refused his new contract and wants to leave, explains his poor performances recently. Meant to be many unhappy players with the management and style of play, which also could explain why we are playing so badly.

Allegedly Saliba also wants out.

well tbf maybe if you started trying to play football again rather than like an nfl team trying for a field goal and played more than about 8 mins again with the timewasting then it may improve.

To me it looks like arteta has taken the joy out of your football.

Not surprised, who'd want to play for a team that plays Partey

Seems Agent Arteta has worked a blinder .

Spend nearly a billion making Arsenal worse, disrupts the playing squad , gets a big payoff then pops back up to Manchester to take his role as Pep's replacement*

Job done

*irony

His poor performance are not just recently though.
Club and international level.

TBH Saliba hasn't been great so far this season although isn't yet quite bad enough to make himself the subject of a £120m bid from Man Utd.

Re Trossard I think he threw his toys out of the pram when Arsenal rejected a bid from Saudi for him. He's declined a lot this season.

Also I can't imagine everyone in the squad is happy with us playing a certain player who may or may not be the subject of a criminal investigation.
