They are not that special, the difference is that Arteta trusts his players to make the big decisions. If there's one thing I am hoping Pep learns from these, it's that obsessive micromanagement ruins the self belief of the team, the constant chopping up of the starting line up kills whatever flow or momentum a player tries to build up. It's already happening with Khusanov.

I still believe we had more than enough to get at least the PL this season but for some reason, Pep had this idea that the sky was falling, you could even see it in his body language at every pre match interview. The divorce had something to do with it but still.

This is all great but these players haven't won a major trophy yet! Madrid not been the best team in Europe this year can't defend for toffee front men all individuals Bellingham me me me! Psg and inter will be a much bigger test

It's the low block merchants we struggle against - an issue City came up against and overcame but we are yet to really do. I feel Inter will win the CL though this season - very underrated side who defend well and stick their chances away.

You don't struggle against low blocks, you just shit your knickers and routinely bottle any chance of success for the past two decades.

Rice was superb last night like it or not

When we beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the home league, I saw a clear path to winning it through PSG in the semi final & Barcelona in the final. I really didnt want to play Villa, as they are physical and have a good midblock.

The aim should be to do to PSG and ideally Barcelona what we did do Real Madrid -set up a low/mid-block and physically dominate them and grind away bit by bit. But if we have to play Inter Milan, it would be like playing a mirror version of ourselves.

I think we do PSG, really confident we are off to the final.
 
Great performance over the two legs regardless of how Real Madrid played, daft from Partey to get suspended for the first leg against PSG

Agree about the Real Mardarses. But why the hell did it have to be Arsenal showing them up?? Sooo annoying. I have this nagging sinking feeling Arse coukd well will win the CL. Even more unbearable than the Dips winning the league....

(And if I'm being brutally honest Lego head knows how to set up in Europe in just 2 seasons playing CL whilst it took Pep 7 - granted with bad luck/ corruption in 2018/19 against us, but even so Legos European credentials in comparison to date seem to be far more impressive.).

Madrid played the City way, wide open at the back, whilst the arse played like the other red tops, 10 at the back, hunted in packs, and played on the counter. In saying that, Real were so bad, the tarquins found they could just take it to them. A very dishevelled performance by Real Madrid.
Arsenal are assembling a decent, large squad that will be in with a shout for next seasons League.
