Madrid poor last night and lacked ideas, but that was due to how Arsenal played them. Rice and Saka standout players. Great to see petulant Madrid knocked out.
Madrid played the City way, wide open at the back, whilst the arse played like the other red tops, 10 at the back, hunted in packs, and played on the counter. In saying that, Real were so bad, the tarquins found they could just take it to them. A very dishevelled performance by Real Madrid.
Arsenal are assembling a decent, large squad that will be in with a shout for next seasons League.

Don't want them anywhere near winning the CL but very mature performance last night. I didn't watch the first leg which will have contributed to how Arsenal was able to set up last night. They were solid though, defended well and tried to get forward too. Very annoying as I cannot stand them but you have to give credit where it's due. Come on PSG!

Well done Arsenal. However as I said in another thread they'll go some to win it as this looks to me like the strongest CL there's been in some time. If they win it from here it won't be a fluke.

"Amazing years"

Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter and PSG through to the CL semi -finals. If Arsenal can stay clear of injuries that have stymied their PL season they have as good a chance as any of the other 3 and will be confident after their 2 deserved victories against Real Madrid.

Arteta revealed that he called Guardiola ahead of Arsenal's second leg this week to thank him for his role in shaping his career. “I called him this morning because I am here thanks to him,” Arteta said. “As a player and a coach he has been an inspiration to me. I had four amazing years with him, and I will always be grateful to him.”

Fascinating matches await in the semi-finals. Inter has recent experience of a CL final. PSG have placed some beautiful, controlled football. Barcelona are re-showing their flair. Arsenal are defensively very sound. It`s all to play for.

Given the quality of the aforementioned teams it seems strange that the winner of the inferior Europa League can now qualify to play in the Champions League.

Despite us flopping the CL has been very strong this season. I honestly thought Inter against us this year were the best defensive team I have ever seen. They are formidable but the young Barca side also looks amazing. If Arsenal win it it will be a great achievement.

Yup well done arsenal. Though I think they had an easier RM team, they were shockingly poor. Mbappe was shite.

Id be surprised if they went on to win it but they are one of the stronger teams left.

It would also be embarrassing for the competition for a team to win it without ever winning their domestic league in the last 20 years. Hmm maybe not.

I feel like it's the weakest final 4 I've seen in a while tbh.

Arsenal aren't even as good as they were the previous two seasons and Barca, Inter & PSG aren't great sides.

City and Real were miles off it as well.

Well done to them on getting through but lets not get suckered in to now thinking there the real deal lets leave that to the Arsenal fans ............Real Madrid in a nutshell where bang average and im sure PSG will cause them a lot more problems

I think we'll beat PSG but lose vs Barca in the final to give us a repeat of 2006. Also Arteta has come out and thanked Pep for him getting to where he is now so you know this Arsenal team probably has a lot of respect for the City team as their inspiration/motivation.

I am sure Pep might have given Arteta his insight in beating Madrid, we just didn't have the players to deliver such a performance. Will be a good game against PSG, they are a cracking side and will cause you a lot of problems.

Hence why you targeted Rodri and your chairman refused to shake the hand of Khaldoon. Respect? Unlikely. Ungracious is probably nearer the mark. Easy to smile when you win, at all costs it must be said.
Just as an aside, the present day Arsenal are probably the nearest thing to the old Dirty Leeds of the late '60's and early 70's. They didn't tend to win as much as people seem to think.

Yeh he’s definitely not a top player lol
Two good games against Real Madrid doesn't make Declan Rice a "Top" player, Everyone pushing the narrative that Declan Rice is a "top" player because he had really good games against Real Madrid...Funny how he rarely gets mentioned other than the last two weeks because he does sweet fuck all.

He's brought Arsenal from second place to second place, Great achievement.

Plus why are you using "lol" are you 12?

Nonsense I'm afraid.

West Hams player of the year 19/20, 21/22, 22/23 , Captain and leader at such a young age, best player I've seen in a Hammers shirt, was integral to winning us that European Trophy.

For Arsenal, He's been runner up player of season twice, and was in the PFA team of the year last season -he is lauded by their fans.

It's ok to back down and hold your hands up you know, Rice has proved you wrong not just in the last couple of games but overall for years now and if he can keep Arsenal trophyless and in second place then i'm all for that.... LOL

In your opinion it's "nonsense".

Obviously you've a hard on for Rice due to winning the Europa Conference.

Without bursting your bubble getting player of the year for West Ham three times isn't much to shout about, Scott Parker topped that by winning player of the year three times consecutively for West Ham does thar make him better than Rice or a "Top" player? No.

We'll just brush aside the fact that he was completely anonymous in big games like England v Spain or England v Italy which he was substituted for Jordan Henderson after 70 minutes.

We'll also just forget about him going missing in the business end of the season for Arsenal when they needed their £105m pound man to step up to lead them to a title, Instead he folded like a deck chair, Maybe that's a good name for him "Dec Chair".

When he starts performing for years at a continuous high level of football he could be considered a "top" player, If we were to start dishing out the "top" player award for playing well for a whole two weeks even Edson Alvarez or Manuel Ugarte would be in with a shout.

Well you must know better than these.
