Arsenal Thread | 2024/25

I swear this club has no ambition signing man city and Chelsea rejects.

Then again our manager is an Everton legend and was the definition of absolute mediocrity as a player.

Today I learned that we have exactly the same number of points as last season after the same number of matches. We've scored more and conceded fewer than last season. Of the 18 matches we have left 10 are at home and 8 away. Of the away games only 2 (Dippers, Barcodes) are vs teams in the top half of the table. We do have a home game vs Man City however- at this stage it's hard to know what Man City side turns up so that'll be either a cakewalk or a nightmare game.

Of the Dippers' 19 games left 10 are away, 9 at home. Of those 10 away games they have Man City, Chelsea, Everton, Bournemouth, Villa, Forest, Brentford and Brighton as really tough fixtures.

Of course it's still theirs to lose but a 9 point swing from those comparative fixtures isn't unheard of, particularly if they defend like they did today.

Re City (as it's a City forum) I think you're too many points off it but after the game at the Emirates you have a relatively straightforward run in so if Liverpool implode, and Arsenal likewise then it could be an improbable league win. Might be worth a cheeky fiver.

Season is long. And taking this gam week into account. We didn't give up any ground. I am amazed at how reactionary football has become in modern times. The internet and 'professional fans' are one of th worst things to happen to football.

Brighton away is considered a tough away fixture, we draw 1-1 with a depleted squad and another dirty referee decision, and Arteta is a villain now. Fucking hell.

Football fans would have the worst chairmans in the world

How long before they turn on Arteta, he is on borrowed time.
Depends who you ask. If you ask the professional youtubers then Arteta is a villain. But the rank and file Arsenal fans are not at all close to turning on Arteta.

Maybe they should be, questions need to be asked, he and your team lack that final total belief to take you over the line.

Your mentality at the Etihad at the end of last season said it all, we were there for the taking and the title was yours, you were happy with a point, not the mentality of wannabe champions.

I absolutely hate arsenal fans these days

These kids watching dinosaur wenger and constantly use the phrase "we were in the trenches"

We are glorified Stoke city with a shit manager who's highest actual qualification is laying cones out for pep yet arteta fanboys attack me for calling them out.

The last two season we finished 2nd because we were lucky with injuries and coneboy never had to rotate. Now, he's finally getting exposed when he got to change up tactics.
Still in 2nd dickhead. Even with injuries.

Stupid fan. Absolute clown.

Happy with second, that's your issue.

21 years since your last title, simply shocking.
Oh right. Like Man City were perpetual winners and didn't have legacy issues they needed to deal with. Please remind of the all the success you had when Stuart Pearce was your manager and Richard Dunne won your player of the year 4 times in a row.
