Oh right. Like Man City were perpetual winners and didn't have legacy issues they needed to deal with. Please remind of the all the success you had when Stuart Pearce was your manager and Richard Dunne won your player of the year 4 times in a row.

Looking to make friends and influence people on this forum, I see.

Fuck off back to where you came from you soft tarquin ****.

Remember Peps first cup final win and a few days later the worst home support ever for a premier league game.
An embarrassment.

You crack on finishing 2nd at best mate whilst City have a rare season off.

Today I learned that we have exactly the same number of points as last season after the same number of matches. We've scored more and conceded fewer than last season. Of the 18 matches we have left 10 are at home and 8 away. Of the away games only 2 (Dippers, Barcodes) are vs teams in the top half of the table. We do have a home game vs Man City however- at this stage it's hard to know what Man City side turns up so that'll be either a cakewalk or a nightmare game.

Of the Dippers' 19 games left 10 are away, 9 at home. Of those 10 away games they have Man City, Chelsea, Everton, Bournemouth, Villa, Forest, Brentford and Brighton as really tough fixtures.

Of course it's still theirs to lose but a 9 point swing from those comparative fixtures isn't unheard of, particularly if they defend like they did today.

Re City (as it's a City forum) I think you're too many points off it but after the game at the Emirates you have a relatively straightforward run in so if Liverpool implode, and Arsenal likewise then it could be an improbable league win. Might be worth a cheeky fiver.
And as we know from events at Anfield yesterday, the league is very unpredictable this season. We assumed United would get pummelled; when we were beating them in the 87th minute, we thought the points were safe. We were 3-0 up against Feyenoord with 20 minutes left but managed to draw!

We've been reminded this season to take nothing for granted. If we make some decent signings I can see us finishing anywhere in the top 4 spots, but I don't see us returning to our former 2nd-half-of-the-season-perfection, which would be required in order to overtake Liverpool, if they should falter. The mountain looks too high for us at this point, imho.

Season is long. And taking this gam week into account. We didn't give up any ground. I am amazed at how reactionary football has become in modern times. The internet and 'professional fans' are one of th worst things to happen to football.

Brighton away is considered a tough away fixture, we draw 1-1 with a depleted squad and another dirty referee decision, and Arteta is a villain now. Fucking hell.

Football fans would have the worst chairmans in the world

It was a penalty. Thinking your hard done to every time you drop points is the reason you won’t win it.

But when we did get financial backing we have been. You’ve spent shit loads & done fuck all with it.

Pearce had £5m budget in his 2 years. Arteta has taken proven winners like Jesus, Zinchenko & Sterling & made them look like novices.
