Replacing Partey who's going to be out of contract just as the Met build a case...Splashing the cash on norgaard from Brentford apparently. lololololol
Excellent news. It's clear from last season that what we clearly lacked was yet another defensive midfielder to pass the ball sideways......Splashing the cash on norgaard from Brentford apparently. lololololol
It’s not that bad of a move if he’s going to be back up to Zubimendi.Excellent news. It's clear from last season that what we clearly lacked was yet another defensive midfielder to pass the ball sideways......
Who's next through the door I wonder? Calvin Phillips?
Brentford could be in trouble next season I reckon. I reckon Sunderland and Burnley are headed straight down but Leeds could stay up at Brentford's expense. It’s not that bad of a move if he’s going to be back up to Zubimendi.
Not a long term solution, but having a decent squad is paramount to winning stuff.
The downside is that both your 6s would be brand new and need integrating.
Brentford are likely to get raided loads now that Frank has gone.
You should pay up for an exceptional 9 and just relax the 100% siege mentality approach.Brentford could be in trouble next season I reckon. I reckon Sunderland and Burnley are headed straight down but Leeds could stay up at Brentford's expense.
I'm pessimistic for next season TBH. We've dallied far too much on the striker situation - Sesko is apparently asking £350k a week which we aren't going to pay and now we've focused on Gyokeres the Dippers are in for him too and as it stands unless I really had my sights set on living in London I'd see them as a more attractive option.
I can see us finishing 3rd or even 4th unless we manage to get some top quality in a couple of areas up front and then, like you said for the midfielders, they'd need to integrate and get used to the team and we've got a tough run of games to start the new season. And this season is crucial if we want to keep Saliba etc as if we win nothing (and history tells us that's what's likely to happen) then some key players will be on at their agents to get themselves a move.
There arent really many top strikers around - not unless City want shot of Haaland or Madrid bin off Mbappe in which case we wouldn't pay the wages and there would be other teams they'd most likely want to go to.
The talk about Rodrygo joining from the Spanish Rags is hilarious. We've said we'd be interested if Madrid let him go - in which case no doubt City, Bayern, Dippers, a host of Saudi teams etc would also be in for him and could afford him and his big wages so there's no way he's coming unless he's somehow bought into the Arteta 'project' that's now in its 5th year and has yielded a Community shield and an FA Cup (that was won with Unai Emery's team anyway).
I’d rather have Jackson than HavertzApparently we're negotiating for BOTH Sesko and Gyokeres.
We know what that means. Nicholas Jackson on loan from Chelsea.
Any relation to Kalvin?Excellent news. It's clear from last season that what we clearly lacked was yet another defensive midfielder to pass the ball sideways......
Who's next through the door I wonder? Calvin Phillips?
He's the Temu version.Any relation to Kalvin?
Bit like when we signed Yaya.......Sanogo.He's the Temu version.
Way overdue in my personal opinion.Replacing Partey who's going to be out of contract just as the Met build a case...
I bet you sign Raheem Sterling on last day of the transfer window after being linked to real strikers. So we're after yet another defender, Valencia's Mosquera but in news that relates to us signing a player who operates in a position that we actually need it seems we've hijacked Sp*rs' bid for Ebereche Eze from Palace - personal terms agreed and supposedly a £68m fee to Palace. I'd imagine we aren't getting Rodrygo from Madrid then although rumours persist that may still happen and we'd sell Martinelli.
Still no news on a striker. All the talk of Sesko or Gyokeres - why not just get Watkins from Villa for around £35m - he's an Arsenal fan and in the absence of a true world class striker available (Sesko/Gyokeres are still a big risk) he's a proven PL goalscorer and would do a very good job.
