He’s obviously waiting to see how Pep changes again ;)

You say that jokingly I imagine, but I always thought he had copied Guardiola without the necessary understanding of the fundamentals. Which is fine when it's working well. But when it isn't he doesn't have the philosophical foundations to react and innovate.

Oh, and he is a complete man-baby **** as well, of course.

But we’re having an awful season! Pep has lost his mojo, & we’ve apparently dropped off a cliff this season according to pundits.
City have quietly become the form team.
Nobody in the top six has more points than City from the last six games.
I think if we beat Soton, we are virtually guaranteed UCL. If for the sake of argument you accept Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle to finish 1,2,3, we would have to be overtaken by two teams to fail. Forest are finding the finish tough, Chelsea are inconsistent and have a very hard fixture list, and Villa may be too far away to catch us. I’m super confident, we just have to beat Soton and even Leicester managed that.

It also helps that those around us play each other:

Week 36 = Newcastle v Chelsea
Week 37 = Arsenal v Newcastle
Week 38 = Nottm v Chelsea

So somebody has to drops points.

I fancy those dropping points: W36 Chelsea, W37 Both, W38 Both.

Nonsense. Odegaard hasn't attempted to make a tackle for the best part of 3 months so it couldn't have been a penalty. Odegaard's always exhausted from all the arm waving to our fans trying to get them to make noise which is why he never attempts to win the ball on the pitch. Worst captain in the PL in terms of inspiration and motivation.

Odegaard's drop this season for us has been at least as bad (if not worse) than KDB's for you.
Odegaard wasn't making a tackle he was wrestling, clear penalty

Comparing him to KDB is an insult he has never been anywhere near him in talent or motivation the guy is a hair flicking arm waving fraud

This tarquin wanker comparing Kev to the blonde fraud is the biggest delusional wanker out there.
He didn’t though.

He compared drop-off in their influence on their respective teams. At no point did he state Odegard was better than De Bruyne.

We have some absolute wet wipes in this fanbase when someone mentions one of our players.

Odergaard has fallen off a cliff, not sure the Gooner was comparing him to Kev ability wise though

I listen to talksport. That clueless fucker Bent has said it numerous times. These pricks then believe it. Don't say I'm a wet wipe as these fans are the most deluded pricks going.

Fair enough, we have different interpretations of over the top celebrations, had he took his shirt off and jumped into the crowd then I’d consider that far more over the top then a simple bow to the crowd. Maybe he should just not celebrate and trudge back to the centre circle next time.
I'm looking at this purely from the context of the most expensive player for Arsenal FC.

Arteta wants Arsenal to be taken seriously as a major contestant for the biggest prizes on offer.

So act like it then. I haven't got an issue with Rice per se or his celebration. The issue I've got is with their faux premature glory. It looks awkward as fuck.

Arteta jumps around like an idiot outside the technical area.

Their captain takes photographs of the club photographer and Rice bows to the crowd like he's delivered the performance of the season.

Arsenal are in real danger of getting knocked out of the champions league on Wednesday and finishing 3rd in the premier league in what has been a two horse race.

So no I'm not suggesting he shouldn't celebrate his goal and trudge back to centre circle.

My advice would be to pick the ball up celebrate the goal on the way back to the centre circle, acknowledge the assist and go and score the winner.

If he were to do that it would at least give the opposition and their own fans the impression they're up to the task.

My initial post was that I had a feeling the celebration by Rice would come back and bite him and Arsenal on their arse.

In that context he must be waking up this morning feeling like an amateur and not a one hundred million pounds player for a club that fancy themselves for premier league and champions league success.
