Surprising fact. City have won more games - 19 - than Arsenal - 18 - in the Premier Leage.
We have also scored more goals - 67 than them - 64.

Obviously we have lost more games and conceded more goals but their drop off has been bug compared to last season. A team in decline?

That's astounding. I hadn't really taken that on board. Just checked it — you're right!
I now seriously think we could catch them and overtake them for second spot. Not that it really matters in the big scheme. When you're second, you're second. But it would be fun…

All that money spent and we resorted to Pulis-ball last night.

And (I kid you not) there are reports we've reached an agreement to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich.

And Erik Ten Bob got more trophies in 2 years at that asylum of a club than Arteta has in 5 with a far better team.

If you were a senior executive at a high paying company, were given massive resources and were outperformed by competitors regardless you'd be getting your P45

It takes a lot to win the CL. The best team rarely wins it. City have learnt the hard way that you are often battling the referees, decisions and shithousery as much as you are the opposition 11. Sometimes you have to find a different way of winning a game, but across the two legs it showed what has been quite clearly an issue for Arsenal for a number of years and as you say, that's down to those in charge of buying new players.

Martinelli isn't good enough. Zinchenko and Jesus never were, that's why we didn't mind them going. You need someone better than Partey in the 6 and you need a striker. I'd also say you need another 10, someone who isn't afraid to shoot the way Odegaard is. Someone to challenge him and Rice and drive the standards.

A 6, 10, LW and Striker are vital this summer. But that's quite a lot of new players for a team who weren't far off winning the title. The style of play has got worse too. You've got a pretty young squad who shouldn't need to be playing that way.

If we win our three remaining games we'll finish above them. They'll lose to Liverpool and I would expect Newcastle go there for a point and make it very hard for them to win that game.

In the context of our season 2nd would be excellent, it would also likely mean we've put together a very strong run over the final 10 games or so which puts us in a good place going into next season. We want to keep driving that desire and desperation to win.

But it's not him so much, or the fans. It's the job of managers to do that puffing about their teams in front of the cameras. But the media, and particularly the BBC, are more than half-way to going along with that assessment. That's what does my head in.
There is no way that Arsenal even at their best this season can hold a candle to that Barcelona team that I saw the other night. And for sheer cussedness and Italian hanging-in-there nous, they do not compare to Inter. And for speed and precision, they are not on the same level as PSG.
Anybody who watches football long enough can simply see that with their own eyes. I'm not an Arsenal-hater (I've got my work cut out hating the rags and dippers, that'll do me), but I'd like to say to the media, “Just open your eyes, you cretins”.
More generally, though — four representatives in the CL. Four. And not even a finalist. You've got to ask some questions, there…
Just seen the interview which is just Arteta talking up his tenure in a bid to keep his job. Where they were is not the comparison failure to win anything for 5 or 6 seasons is clearly not achieving his or the teams objectives.

But....... but........... he won the last two Premier Leagues .......... we know that because he told us they had yesterday

Made to look even worse for them, when you factor in those 2 wins in 10 during November and December, where we managed to pick up 8 points out of 30

It even took too long for the last throw in because Partey was on the wrong side of the pitch.

If the only weapons you have (borrowed from Stoke) are long throw ins, dead balls and corner kicks; then you need to re-think your coaching staff.

Don't know if anybody has asked earlier but have le arse players developed asthma. I ask because near the end I thought I saw a le arse player putting what looked like an inhaler to his mouth. No wonder they lost if they are poorly, poor lambs;-)

In fairness to Le Arse, they played very well last night.
They didn't just rely on the Stoke-like tactics.
They pressed high from the first minute, pinning back their effective full backs.
Both their wingers were excellent, with Saka scoring and also missing a great opportunity.
PSG were rattled at times, but are excellent at scoring when you least expect it.
But, and it's a big "but", Arteta is too manic and emotional to be a top manager.
His erratic manner on the touchline must influence his players ?
His post-match interview sums Arteta up, perfectly...
