First time I have heard an Arsenal player have the balls to back themselves for a trophy.

Everyone else has bought into the Arteta "process and phase" nonsense.

Also the Euros will have an impact on tiredness and City's players played the most minutes (2nd highest was Arsenal players but that was nearly 50% less than City players).

I suspect City will battle the Spanish Rags for the CL.

I'm saying the above just to put my cock on the block- nothing worse than humblebragging opposing fans or false modesty. Last season I didn't think we'd win the league. This season I think we will.

City were the strongest side in the PL in 2025 taking more points than Liverpool and Arsenal, and that's without Rodri and effectively without the old KDB. City have significant upside simply because KDB played so badly for us last season.

I thought Liverpool were going to struggle with TAA gone and the ageing Van Dijk and Salah locked in but they are being very aggressive in the transfer market. It's hard to know what effect Wirtz will have assuming that they sign him.

Arsenal imo have a very strong squad that will be even stronger if they could find a striker. If I were Arsenal I would look at Wissa from Brentford.

I think the Premier League is going to be very exciting next season. I think Arsenal and City are likely to be a lot stronger but I don't know what to expect from Liverpool. We don't know how Van Dijk and Salah are going to play given their age.
 
I expect it will take some time for our newbies to bed in and it looks like we will have a new tactic against the low block.
We will certainly be amongst the front runners but it’s too early to say we’ll win it. We should all relax and enjoy the football, that’s what it’s for.
If we win a major prize, great; if not, so what? Win or lose, City is a great club.

It’s all part of their belief that if they keep telling themselves that they’re the best, they will become the best.

That can work if it’s natural, but it isn’t at Arsenal. Everything is too forced. Too much of it is for the cameras.

The light bulb, the pick pockets, the dog called Win, player and staff huddles, whipping up the crowd at every corner.

Over emotional and brittle. They’ll not win anything until that changes.
 
Lots of players we are linked with but no active bids and a head in the sand approach to assuming other big clubs won't be interested in these players.

We've moved on Madrid's Rodrygo from 'interested' to 'seriously considering'. Also 'considering' Arda Guler. Additionally 'actively thinking about' Gyokeres and Sesko. Plus of course the 'in the market for' status on Zubimendi.

We have just renewed Gabriel's contract though which is good news.

Rumours that Barca and Man City are sniffing around 15 year old wonderkid Max Dowman who is rated as the hottest prospect from the academy and ran the show recently for England U19s, scoring a beauty and also with a superb assist despite being 4 years younger than many of the the other players on the pitch.

I'd agree with a lot of that. The lightbulb thing was fucking embarrassing and the pickpocket thing the same. I'd think someone like Rice needs to tell them next season to keep calm and, like you say, stop whipping the fans up into a frenzy after the 4th game after winning a corner.

I think you'll see a lot of that go next season. I reckon they'll listen to a lot of that type of criticism as that hasn't just come from posters on here. Their fans will probably thank them for it as well - keep you fucking heads down, do it game by game and then see where you are in March/April

I also think us Arsenal fans will calm down and not get overly excited too early in the season.

Also we are going to win the fucking quadruple unbeaten. North London Forever!

They might try to dampen it down, but AFTV and Arteta can’t help but overhype everything.

What Arteta needs to learn is how to pace the season. Pep and the GPC are/were masters of doing enough to be in the running at the start of March and then win every game until the end.

Arsenal tend to go full tilt from the off and be done by February.
