Thing is we could have prime Robben and Mahrez as right wing options and Arteta would still flog the hell out of Saka.....Gyokeres and Zubimendi look like top quality signings. With the defence they already have, they will be challenging this season for sure - or they definitely should be! This season they cannot make excuses for not winning the league at the end of May. Just feel like Arteta needs to take the handbrake off and stop the obsession with control and playing the dark arts when they could beat teams without all that.

Arteta was overruled by our new DOF Nicola Berta who the board hired from Atletico Madrid to sharpen up the squad mix. Arteta wanted Sesko who is basically a younger Kai Havertz. Would have meant we played exactly the same way (set piece FC). Berta insisted on Gyokeres who is more of an explosive player and will force us to play differently with a lot more pace and power. Gyokeres is more of an Aguero-type player - although of course I'm not saying he's remotely as good as Aguero - if he turns out to be half the player Aguero was I'd be delighted.Not sure Arteta actually wants a conventional 9.
