Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

As others have said, the referees at this level are far less tolerant of what is ‘allowed’ in England. The authorities in England have deliberately created a game where physicality and a refereeing blind eye are sanctioned, all in the name of preserving some mythological English tradition, though really done to release Guardiola’s stranglehold. It would be no surprise to me if the officials played a part in the trophy’s destination tomorrow; the continent would prefer a PSG win for aesthetic reasons, and the authorities will not want all three trophies held in one country. If that unfolds, I’m sure the Arsenal fans will appreciate the irony. ;-)
Ouch.

By fuck Arsenal are a fucking dire team to watch. Every single aspect of their game is woeful. Ok, they defend well, but everything about them hurts my brain watching them.

They drag every game into the gutter by cheating, falling to the floor, whining. Raya going down with cramp - get to fuck. And once again we see Arteta out of his technical area, leaping around like a fucking demented ****.

Thank you PSG. You saved football this evening.

Might not feel it now, but that was the start of the end of Arteta’s Arsenal tenure tonight.
If the rest of the expected challengers (us, Dips, Chelsea and yes, the rags) decide to cut out the inconsistencies they showed last season, Arsenal could struggle to get in the top 3 next season. They're not that good a side, they were simply less inconsistent than everyone else. They couldn't beat us in three games. Put it this way; they're nowhere near as good a side as the one Wenger had, which had the likes of Vieira, Petit, Henry, Bergkamp, Overmars, Pires and that famed back four.
