Arsenal thread | 2025/26

Apparently there’s been chaos at The Emirates this morning with Arsenal having all of their bank accounts frozen as a security precaution.

The club tried to pay Sporting Lisbon for Viktor Gyokeres and it declined due to the fact that they were trying to purchase a striker, and the bank flagged the transaction as ‘unusual activity.’
Fake news. Stop spreading malicious lies.

The reason the transaction was blocked was because the bank got suspicious that a transfer fee was getting paid to a club other than Chelsea.

Going to be a problem again next season these twats
I don't think so. To me they are like those slick, colourful brochures you used to get. You'd drool over the items on display, buy the one you want, and when it's delivered it's smaller than you thought, not as sturdy and you're already thinking you've been conned, it's all a big rip off.
You look at Arsenal's squad and it looks impressive: you see their names and you build an image in your mind of a formidable team, destroying all in front of them. Strong, fast, intelligent - everything you need to be a Premiership-winning team, but on the pitch it's a very very different game. Reputations mean sweet FA if your mindset is all wrong, which it will be with Lego head's instructions still ringing in their ears.
With a good manager, a set of top-notch backroom staff, and an inner strength built on confidence and self-belief they could be a great team, one of the best, but not all the while Arteta is in charge.

To themselves they'll be a problem, not to anybody else. Bridesmaids FC four in a row.
Plus how do they manage to spend lots of money every year when they win fuck all?
Answers on a postcard please.

Think signing a top striker makes the difference mate, sounds like they want Eze as well and Zubimendi makes the midfield stronger as well.

It is mathematically impossible to get relegated with 100 points. It is possible to go unbeaten all season and get relegated.

The Arsenal invincibles equalled one English football record. Our Centurions broke loads that still stand.

Listening to Arteta the other day re Arsenal being short of numbers… it feels like it’s all got too much for him… I wonder whether his obsession is unhinging him. He’s starting to sound as mad as a box of frogs. Got a feeling it’s make or break for him this season.
