How may from open play remind me of a Tony Pulis teamLast I checked we've scored the joint 2nd most goals in the PL this season, only 1 behind the joint leaders City, Chelsea and Sp*rs.

I can't remember Tony Pulis beating Madrid home and away, or smashing Atletico 4-0 tbh. It's easy to try and poke holes in an opponent - how many goals have you scored that weren't from Haaland? At the end of the day teams adapt to their strengths especially when it comes to playing against low/mid blocks. The goals all count the same. How may from open play remind me of a Tony Pulis team
Thought we were talking about this seasons PL?I can't remember Tony Pulis beating Madrid home and away, or smashing Atletico 4-0 tbh. We all know whoever wins it will be rained because the scousers are entitled to it.All I did was pointed out that the goal 'MIGHT' be super important and that seemed to trigger you frothing at the mouth and banging on about Arsenal being perennial bottlers and our fans proclaiming us winners in October. Just chill.
We play a system that creates chances for players to score, you play a system that creates dead-ball situations.I can't remember Tony Pulis beating Madrid home and away, or smashing Atletico 4-0 tbh. TBH it was more boring last season when it was numerous passes in midfield, left, right, back and no attempt to progress it. At least this season we are more directly and have better attacking outlets - but I agree we aren't seat of your pants exciting to watch. We play a system that creates chances for players to score, you play a system that creates dead-ball situations.
As fans we have absolutely no say in how our teams play: tactics, substitutions, that is left to the manager and his staff, rightly so. But whatever style the club chooses it is still our club, it is us fans who -through thick and thin- will justify pretty much anything the team does. And in all fairness that is all you are doing by coming on here and making the statements you make, you defend your club like all fans would do - I am guilty of that myself. But when you are paying out vast amounts of money to see your team play a system that firstly nullifies the opposition, and secondly relies on every underhanded trick in the book to win penalties, free-kicks and corners etc, it's on you to justify the cost to your wallet first before coming on here and trying to kid us you're happy with the way Arteta has you playing.
If you are a regular match goer then you will be well aware of how costly it is to follow a Prem team. But it must leave a sour taste when you are paying to watch the awful, boring dross that Arteta serves up for you?

Good effort but your namesake John was funnier.I'd guess City probably get as many set pieces as we do, it's just we have guys who are elite headers of the ball.
We get plenty of dead ball situations ourselves, we just do fuck all with them.We play a system that creates chances for players to score, you play a system that creates dead-ball situations.

So you agree with the rest of us that Saka isn't world class then? Possibly the first comment from a gooner that is true.I'll be honest I don't like the football under Arteta in recent seasons. I loved Wengerball, which was achieved on a shoestring budget as we had a net spend of zero for about a decade. But I do like winning under Arteta though and don't miss the 8-2, 6-0 losses in 12/13 and I think we lost 5-2 against yourselves although I'm unsure of the scoreline. It's just a pity Wenger never got the backing Arteta has got as he would of produced some even more exciting teams.
I do think Arteta has done great job though. Especially defensively and his ability to instill a workrate in the players. His ability to coach the attack is questionable though
It's also worth noting, we haven't had world class attacking talent like KDB, Salah or maestros like Gundingon or Silva or Rodri.
Also saying we rely on 'relies on every underhanded trick in the book to win penalties, free-kicks and corners etc' is just cope. We win corners and freekicks because we get fouled or the ball goes out of play. And we don't get as many pens as we should get. I'd guess City probably get as many set pieces as we do, it's just we have guys who are elite headers of the ball.
If World Class means in the Top 3 players in his position in the world then no, Saka isn't Top 3 and his output could be better. In the PL Salah has for sure been better than him - whether that continues given Salah's age I don't know.So you agree with the rest of us that Saka isn't world class then? Possibly the first comment from a gooner that is true.
As an aside, what the fuck is cope? One of these stupid little boy sayings, like uncs?

And does gormless mean you have plenty of gorm?I love Saka but no I don't think he is quite world class, he's not quite at peak Salah or Vini's level. Borderline though and I'd say he has the potential to be world class but it looks like his hamstrings have been done in. Definitely our best forward. Although Dowman has a higher ceiling and is already the best dribbler at the club as a 15 year old.
Cope means you're in denial and trying to make excuses for something happening that you're not comfortable with. IE you are coping
Dowman is a diver.
If he continues on his trajectory he will become England's best player before he is 20.Dowman is a diver.
So you think he will learn to stay on his feet? If you are playing adult football you should be judged on that. He's a cheat. Taught by the same coaches who taught Saka to fall over at every opportunity.
As a role model he could have looked at Phil Foden. No diving, Won all his medals and accolades on merit.
He's currently on his half term break from school. He's not 16 until New Year's Eve. And if he is a cheat VAR will soon sort that out (cough). He's a cheat.
And at a club that positively encourages cheating.
