Re: City v Arsenal Pre Match Thread
I think if we can get three points here then we are really going to be sending out a message to the rest, half of our 4 difficult fixtures is gone and with wins if we can get a result. I don't see why we can't, Arsenal play good football but they are looking thin without their key midfielders. Not to mention that they have conceded a ridiculous amount of goals against the top four sides. We can definitely get a goal at least judging on our performance last night. We certainly look like we have shifted the Chelsea 1-0 home hangover, especially away from home.
I think a similar team to last night would be fantastic, Milner caused them a lot of problems last year and I think I'd go for Kolarov out wide instead of Clichy because apart from Sagna who isn't that quick, there is no real threat out wide from them without Walcott. They have a choice of Arteta, Chamberlaine, Flamini, Cazorla in midfield and I think we can easily match that with Nasri/Silva or Milner, depends how attacking Pellegrini wants to be but I'd rather play the same team as last night. Other than that, Giroud goes missing against the top teams and what other threat do they really pose?
