You have a couple of other options, if you are willing to add an hour or so onto your travel time. You can take the train to Leeds, then go to London via Stevenage. Alternatively, you can go Manchester to Peterborough. Both options take you into Kings Cross rather than Euston, but that's no issue really as Kings Cross and Euston are less than 10 minutes walk (or one underground stop) from each other.
Thanks

Leeds Stevenage generates the same engineering warning message online. I think next time I'm in Piccadilly Station I'll have a word with the enquiries

Definitely the best option is going through Leeds. You can get tickets on the Eastcoast website for £13 each way and £6 each way from manchester to leeds.
Last train to Leeds is 2235. Even allowing for a protracted penalty shoot out that should be late enough!
A full price return (leeds-kings cross) is £100 each, but with a two together railcard (useful if you always go away, on the train, with the same person, means it is £133 for two. Buy the railcard online and you can get it for £27. You're well in front just using it for Wembley!!
Thanks.

I have booked through Leeds, and bought additional tickets to get to Leeds and back. Going to be a long day

I don't care its technically a friendly,it's against a rival so if we win i will celebrate like it matters as i did when we beat chelsea

Yeah we only bother if they are in the top 4 as we are just turning into united.

In years gone by every man and his dog would have turned out for this game. No footie for months, no tv recording friendlies certainly not friendlies from around the world involving all sorts of competitions and trophies, ours used to be against couple of scottish teams and Rochdale Oldham and Bury if we were lucky. You were so so fed up with not seeing the boys in blue you would have half killed to get a ticket and a trip to wembley. Furthermore you knew the proceeds went to charity. Now we have 52 weeks footie beamed to us in our homes and to be fair it is an expensive day out but for me it is still the curtain raiser to the season and if I can get a ticket I might go this year.

Waste of money for a friendly

So should none of us turn up and leave half of Wembley empty?

I'll be there if I can afford it after the ST price hike.

I'll be there, chance to see us pick up more Silverware, plus you can never get bored of going to Wembley.
