I've been to every Wembley appearance since the 1976 one. However, I'm a guest at the Old Trafford test the day before with free beer all day. There is no way I'll be able to get up for an early start down to Wembley after that. Will probably still be there!

The Travelodge at Wembley is £24 on Sunday 10 August, plus £10 if you want an early check in. Parking is £5 for 24 hours. Within walking distance of Stadium . It has all been refurbished, have stayed there a couple of times now always has plenty of city fans staying.

Was going to drive down and stay at the premier in which if booked online is only £39 a room, trouble is its a 2.00 pm check in and it sounds like the game kicks off at the same time .....rang them to see if you can have an early check in and they said you can if you pay the full price of something like £130 .[/quoteT

Thought this was about 2 miles from the stadium ?

If he pays for four people it could be, and he may be doing.

I hope it doesn't sell out, it is just another burden on the fans and would send a message to the FA.

The only message it would send out to the FA is that City fans don't send many fans to away games. Given that the FA are still desperate to pay off the cost of building the thing, it won't persuade them to lower the cost or change the venue to somewhere else.

I'm just annoyed that I'm already booked to be away on the 10th, as I'd quite happily take your seat.

Any one who wants a ticket will be able to get several, as was the case in 2011. £4.90 a pint and wading through piss, with half the support breaking down emotionally if we are not winning isn't a good day out. The occasion brings out the worst in a lot of people.

We could't take more than 2,000 to a 3pm north west away less than 8 years ago, no point pretending we are the best supported team in the country, but it is good if fans think something is bad value and decide not to follow like sheep.
don't like City fans do you ?

Yes - you are right - just checked the travelodge site, have always walked though, but plenty buses if you need them !

If they have rooms available, they'll let you check in early. And if they don't, you'll be able to leave your bags there.

If you go early and ask to leave your bags in the storage room you will be able to check in after the match.

I do that regularly where the check in time is late.

Hart
? Demichelis Nastasic Clichy
Yaya ?
Nasri Milner
Dzeko Jovetic

Assuming Kompany, Silva, Aguero are on a break.

Arsenal look as if they'll sign Vela and Aurier plus they might get Remy.[/quote]

Are the question marks blank for new signings?
