Arsenal Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Sense Bobby was a bit disappointed with our second half showing...said we were too soft. I wonder if he means not ruthless enough.
He was spot on too. I made a similar point but that's known as being too negative

Khaldoon al-Mubarak and Roberto Mancini having a whale of a time in the Emirates foyer. Exchange a proper man-hug on parting.

Sounds like a man on his way out doesn't it? :)

Yep we are a little sloppy in our finishing, but other than that it was a satisfactory performance against a side we normally struggle at.

Second half was worryingly lacklustre and wasteful.

Jesus Christ, we were never under threat against a good side, I'll take that all day long. Three points are all that matters, it isn't FIFA.

funny enough the midfield today is actually my mid field on fifa. milner on the right, garcia and barry in the middle and silver on the left. I play yaya toure just behind balotelli or aguero.

Notwithstanding, i was talking about how we found ourselves( particular dzeko and tevez) in brilliant positions because of the space arsenal left in behind and we were not able to capitalize. If arsenal pulled a goal back, we could have had a ball game on our hands.

A team cannot afford to waste chances and opportunities, especially as you said, against arsenal away because you dont know whether it will come back and take a big wet bite out of your buttocks. Thankfully it didnt happen today and we will take the 3 points and move on. Hopefully kompany's red card will be rescinded and everything will be jolly

There is also a side issue of goal difference.

What is also noticeable is Garcia's total inability to stay with Wilshere on the run...worrying.

No, what is noticeable is our captain diving in stupidly like a 16 year old, asking to be sent off and thus leaving us short at the back for the next 3 games.....he doesn't seem to learn about his ludicrous tackling technique

Yes I said as much in an earlier post. Imagine if Nastasic or (if he was still here) Savic had done that ? They'd have been blasted on here. How often does Nastasic go to ground ? Kompany could do with looking at his 19 year old defensive partner.
What are you ? A pair of fuckin care bears?

Their defenders weren't bothering to defend in the 2nd half and we couldn't score. Must have had at least 10 counters against even numbers or better.
