Unreal watch in fairnessThe Speedmaster watch is on my bucket list if I ever win the lottery, specifically the Dark side of the moon edition. Little bit out of my price range at the minute at £13,500......View attachment 187893
What's the point of it all though ? We LANDED on the moon more than FIFTY years ago ! This is hardly groundbreaking, total waste of time and money, it feels like the USA are trying to 'show' off...now if we were going to land on say 'Mars' i get it...
Lovely watch, but would a digital watch not be better in zero gravity? For the watch nerds out there, NASA still issue Omega Speedmasters to astronauts as part of their kit.
Cool as fuck that.
Strange isn’t it,Everest has been climbed numerous times I suppose that’s the only comparison/reasoning because it’s there ..What's the point of it all though ? Scott was the pilot of Thunderbird 1 mate, Alan was the pilot of Thunderbird 3Think you’ll find that’s Scott :-)

Mike Mercury was the pilot of Supercar, Steve Zodiac was the pilot of Fireball XL5Mike Mercury beat them all to it in Fireball XL5.
All has to be done in stages. Given the technology in my hand right now is more powerful than that which took man to the moon, it’s a miracle we did it in the first place. With modern tech I suppose it’s baby steps, starting with the moon, to get to mars and long after we gone, beyond that. What's the point of it all though ? It’s bonkers as a human race we went to the moon 50 years ago and since then we haven’t gone any further and focused on the international space station instead. There are probably ulterior motives for it being just for show, the likes of China and the USA want the metals that can be mined from the moon which is probably why they are looking at going back there.
Rare Earth Minerals. The Moon is full of them, lunar samples have proven this. What's the point of it all though ? We LANDED on the moon more than FIFTY years ago ! What has gravity got to do with how a mechanical watch runs?Lovely watch, but would a digital watch not be better in zero gravity?
Well, if i'm taking my Grandfather clock up there one day... ;)What has gravity got to do with how a mechanical watch runs?
I really like the original heselite Professionals, I've wanted one for years, along with several other watches. I've just bought myself another watch from my wishlist so the Speedy is going to have to wait a while yet...The Speedmaster watch is on my bucket list if I ever win the lottery, specifically the Dark side of the moon edition.
