I tried that the other way around and got rightly slaughtered for it. People can be racist but vote in another way if their interests supersede their desire to be a pure race again.

Example.

Scots English hating racists whose business he feels is better served by either remaining in the uk or Europe.

It can happen so you can't say all. Most absolutely.

As a side point I despise these bastards who do have a hatred of you lot. They are nowhere remotely near the numbers the Shun and the Hate Mail try to make out.

But they exist.

There are thick racists everywhere.

A Scot disliking an Englishman isnt racism.

An Englishman disliking a German isnt racism.

Disliking the EU isnt racism.

Etc...etc...etc....etc

I could go on but that would only spoil your tired rant.

I'm not having a fcukin jock calling me racist.....

I'm not calling anyone a racist I'm saying that at least a third of the leave vote were. Immigration was the key. Check out the Farage video in Newsnught. He knew immigration was the key and that's the way it turned out as those with that view helped leave win.

Again, do you think there was less than a million who voted just to get rid of immigrants?

If not, leave loses.

Well that is a crap retort IMO.

The first half of your 'retort' demonstrates that you hold the UK in contempt.

If their have to be 'sides' - should you not be on the one that is your country?

The 2nd half is nonsense - we do not think that the EU will 'roll over' - we hope for the best for the UK in what are going to be very difficult negotiations.

Negotiations in which, quite alarmingly the greatest opposition seems to be the 'enemy within'. We have some strong cards to play but seem to be undermined by 'our own'

well you are entitled to your opinion of course. Oddly enough the way I "side" probably reflects the way I voted - that would be with 48% of the voters in the referendum who are British so hardly taking sides against Britain just not "siding" with your view but that would be the opinion I am entitled to. As for the views of fellow Bluemooners you only have to re-read this thread never mind others and similar topics and you will see plenty voicing the opinion that we are well rid of the EU which needs us so much they will offer what ever we ask for to keep trading with us - and there are also some pretty contemptuous descriptions of and views on Europeans.

Believe me my friend the biggest "enemy" as you put it in these negotiations will be the EU itself

On the Big Question on the BBC at this moment Nicky Campbell has just quoted stats that show 33% of those questioned did say immigration was their number one motive to vote leave.

How's that for up to date reporting?

Now back to Magicpole in the studio..............

Just as racists could easily have voted remain because they prefer the mainly white mainly Christian immigrants coming from the EU, rather than a much fairer system that doesn't discriminate against people based on their location? For a self confessed nationalist to be banging on about small minded bigots helping the Brexit vote sounds a bit ironic to me.

Unlimited immigration can and is causing problems in a whole range of areas. To say that anyone who identified these issues is racist is frankly pathetic.

Mate, I was just bring ironic. But now you mention it, I strongly dispute your association of controlled immigration with racism. How's that any different from people equating SNP with hating the English?

So to have concerns about immigration means you're racist does it?

But we don't bacon. We just don't.

Are there a group of wanjers who do? Of course. But the vast majority don't. Look at the vast majority please. We can all pick out the worst and try to tar all with the same brush. That's not fair or a true reflection.

I guarantee you don't hate these English hating racist cunts more than me. Maybe the same, but not more. They shame and embarrass my country and I despise them.

Lets for a second pretend you win a 2nd indy ref.

Will you accept that you only win because of the Racists as you like to call them?

Still can't find these posters saying the EU would roll over.

As for contemptuous views/descriptions of Europeans, I think you'll find a good number of them are tongue in cheek.

Maybe you're taking the odd bit of gung-ho banter too seriously?

I just read the post and heard the comments on the telly at the same time fella - I am the reporter - no editorial bias in the report

What sort of answer is that?

Wanting to reduce uncontrolled immigration because of the stress and costs to services in this country does not constitute a racist view it just fucking doesn't.

You're missing my point, magic. Just as you object to unfairly being branded an English hater, I object to those who want immigration controls incorrectly being branded racist. Or, in other words, I'm asking you to be consistent.
